2 WHAT IS AN ENGINEERED CNC SYSTEM? Every tool shop has two basic needs: increase production and increase profits. Ani lam's trained technicians then custom fit each mill with the Series-M control, servo amplifier, motors, and Quantum-scale measuring systems. DC Servo Motors On every Anilam machine system, each axis is specifically engineered to provide positive drive. For example, the Z-axis downteed is equipped with its own recirculating ballscrew, belt drive, Quantum scale, and motorinsuring optimum accuracy and mechanical efficiency to the system. A wide range of high-powered, high efficiency DC servo motors are used to give maximum performance to every Anilam engineered CNC system. Limit switches are incorporated on each axis to prevent accidental overrun and damage. Quantum-Scales Servo Amplifier ~ Unless supplied by the machine manufacturer, Anilam's technicians have removed the conventional machine leadscrews and have replaced them with specially designed and manufactured recirculating ball leadscrews. These ball leadscrews are able to transmit high levels of torque with minimum backlash and long lite. Positional accuracy of the machine movement is obtained through Anilam's precision transducers. The Anilam Quantum-scale is designed tor long lite and trouble-tree operation - even in the harshest machine shop environments. Accuracy and repeatability to.0005 of an inch are standard. Control tor the servo motors is supplied by a closed-loop DC amplifier unit, specifically designed with consideration of the machine characteristics in mind. An isolation transformer and individual inductors tor each axis assures efficient and reliable operation.
