2 Masa Microconic System Masa Tool has developed the Microconic system specifically for holding workpieces from Ø0.2 (0.008 ) to Ø10 (0.394 ) in any machine that has a collet-type chuck. Concentricity is truly unsurpassed: With Microconic there is no need to request extra precision collets. We guarantee everything to be within 5μm, T.I.R. The Microconic system works with either draw-type or push-type standard collet systems that are in any machine. The cartridge is a self-contained precision mechanism using your machine s standard collet closing function. We make cartridges to fit an ever expanding variety of machines. The cartridge replaces the standard 5C, TF20 or TF25 collets, and provides a new level of shop standardization. Now you can use the Microconic collets in almost all of your CNC machines regardless of the collet type. The Microconic cartridge enables you to move production parts from one machine to another even though they may have different collet spindles. 3 MICROCONIC COLLET TYPES: REGULR & OVER-GRIP Microconic Collets enable your shop to convert all of your facilities turning machines spindles to ONE, universally sized, collet for your small diameter workholding. ll of our cartridges accept our UM10 collets which range from Ø0.2 (0.008 ) to Ø10 (0.394 ). There are two basic types of Microconic collets -- regular and over-grip. MICROCONIC REGULR COLLETS Our regular Microconic UM10 collets have guaranteed concentricity to within 5μm (.0002 ) TIR. The patented design of the Microconic system enables this radically improved over-gripping performance in a way that is impossible to do in a traditional collet system alone. The Over-grip collet capabilities of Masa Microconic System introduces a whole new world of time saving opportunities. Our Over-grip Collets open up to 4 (0.157 ) diameter larger than the clamping diameter. lso included with our over -grip collets is an ejection guide sleeve blank, which helps the user solve the challenge of ejecting the part from the collet. This is often a difficulty because the larger head of the part is inside the collet and can get stuck if not securely guided out when opening. REMEMBER, Both of our regular and over-grip fit in any of our Microconic cartridges. With Microconic you can easily and consistently set clamping force right at the spindle nose in about 60 seconds using our Micrograd dial wrench. MICROGRD DIL WRENCH Included with every cartridge is our Micrograd dial wrench (CW10). You can precisely set the collet closure with repeatable accuracy using micrometer-like graduations. The most fragile, tiny parts, or thinnest walls are no problem on any machine. The self contained Microconic cartridge controls the clamping and will not vary regardless of the machine. Unlike traditional extended nose collets our unique design and closing action is inherently more accurate and consistent. You can calibrate your spindle runout with the Microconic cartridge by using it as a precision cylinder gauge. 10 WRRNTY Masa Tool warrants that the products will be free from defects in material and workmanship. No product shall be returned to us without a return-authorization number. If you find any failure of our products to conform to our stated dimensions notify us this within 90 days from date of receipt of the product, we will replace the defective product or make suitable repairs. Stated performance claims apply only to product in non-worn condition. If we are unable to correct the nonconformity by replacing the product or making suitable repairs we will refund the purchase price upon receipt of the nonconforming product FOB our plant. In no event shall we be liable either directly or by way of contribution or indemnity, for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages such as, but not limited to, property damage, loss of profit, or damages based on loss of use of the product, whether the claim for any such damages be based on warranty, express or implied, contract, tort, or otherwise.
