3 Summary Very close to how nature itself designs, and yet based on simple principles, this sound-absorbing lamp has a harmonic and natural shape, and is made from natural materials. The tree trunk and branches are made from untreated Swedish birch; the round branches are wedged and can be joined without glue. The foliage consists of thin, unbleached wool felt leaves, and the product ships as a flat package. The tree shares its inner energy, from a large warm toned LED or induction bulb, through the foliage as a soft and natural light. The Leaf Lamp Series also has a standing lamp for public indoor places the Leaf Lamp Tree with both shape and size in common with a real tree. The branches start at cm (out of reach) and shape a magnificent foliage of a diameter between cms depending on model (130, 230, 300 cm or custom size up to 600 cm for special projects, it is flexible since the weight of the foliage is very low). The Leaf Lamp Trees stand on the ground with a robust foot (optional) made as a rusted steel tube with a 70 cm ground plate for bolting into the floor. For locations which do not allow bolting to the floor, there is also an optional 160 cm ground plate which makes the tree securely freestanding. The Leaf Lamps are excellent sound absorbers (class A in the most sensible frequencies to the ear and class B outside this range) due to the large surface of wool felt shaping a labyrinth to the sound. It is also a super diffuser due to the many surfaces, which considerably reduces echoes and increases the speak ability of the room. Possible uses for this product are e.g.; office areas, cafés, restaurants, hotels, and shop interiors. Cord set (Tree): 230 V white cloth cord, plug not included. Each branch in this product has been CE-marked, the branches are to be connected together and installed by a certified electrician on site. 7 Why Green? The Leaf Lamp foliage is made of unbleached wool felt, a 100% natural mix. The branches and the trunk are made of FSC marked local wood, and manufactured by Möbelspecialen in Lammhult, Sweden. The branches are made of wedge-shaped wood that can be glued together with bone glue, a 100% natural product. The innermost branches are screwed into the trunk, and can easily be unassembled and recycled. Unbleached cotton rope for hanging the pendant lamp, spliced with cotton thread, from Kågströms Repslageri, Sweden. The label is made of vegetable-based organically leather from Tärnsjö Garveri AB, Sweden. The product is CE-marked and the cord to the lamp is free from PVC and uses a halogen-free flame retardant. Leaf Lamp is intended to be used together with a low energy or LED bulb. Wool does not burn, not even if it will be exposed to an open flame. Solid wood is not considered to be flammable in fire exposure contexts. Comes in a flat package, unassembled, for reduced environmental effect. We are planting a tree for local furniture production for every sold furniture in the Green Furniture Plantation.
