3 Harmonisation of natural appearance and design The STEPWOOD design panel is a material creatively designed from individual wooden slats which are slotted together to create a special impression of space A STEPWOOD panel is eye catching due to the differences in the colour and structure of the individual types of timber. A STEPWOOD panel represents the harmonisation of natural appearance and design. Furthermore, it has a positive impact on health: it has been scientifically proven that the stress level in rooms with solid wood panelling is significantly lower. The heartbeat calms in these environments because the air in these rooms contains fewer negatively charged ions, which influence the pulse rate. In addition to this, the latest scientific research has also shown that bacteria on a wooden surface dies faster than that on, for example, plastics. 10 Mounting simple, fast and clean STEPWOOD panels are suitable for creating an interior. Their fitting depends on the purpose of use and number of panels. Panels can be glued or screwed to a dry, clean surface. STEPWOOD panels can be used on: a wall several adjacent ceilings wall and ceiling walls STEPWOOD panels can be laid horizontally and vertically. 11 For mounting, we recommend our STEPWOOD mounting equipment. This equipment consists of profiles and claws and can be ordered as a set.
