Page : 1 of Railroad Street Corona, CA PURPOSE The purpose of this report is to present the testing methods employed and test results obtained during the performance testing of one (1) Aluminum Horizontal Sliding Window described in paragraph 4.0 of this report. 2.0 TEST REFERENCES 2.1 Voluntary Specifications for Aluminum, Vinyl (PVC) and Wood Windows and Glass Doors AAMA/NWWDA 101/I.S.2-97: HS - LC x 80 With Standard Sill & Stiles HS - HC x 80 With Subsill & High Performance Interlocks 2.2 CAWM Forced Entry Resistance Tests for Windows 3.0 SUMMARY The test results in paragraph 5.0 and 6.0 indicate that the test sample described in paragraph 4.0 of this report complied with the performance requirements of the above referenced specifications. 4.0 SAMPLE SUBMITTED SERIES: CONFIGURATION: GLENWOOD 510 C Horizontal Slider XXOX FRAME SIZE: " x 79.63" OPERABLE PANEL: 1st " x 76.18" 2nd " x 76.18" End " x 76.18" FIXED PANEL: 61.25" x 76.18" GLASS: For LC 25 rating, all panels contained a single pane of 1/4" clear annealed glass. For HC 40 Uniform Load Structural rating, all operable panels contained a single pane of 1/4" annealed glass. The fixed panel contained 1/4" tempered glass.

2 Page : 2 of 5 GLAZING: WEEPAGE: For the Air Infiltration and Water Penetration tests, all of the panels consisted of extrusions for accepting insulated glass units and were channel glazed with reducing vinyl gasket and all glazing corners were sealed on the outside. The Structural Load test was performed with panels consisting of extrusions for accepting only single pane glass and were channel glazed with standard vinyl gasket. See attached cross section drawing. The following weep configuration on the standard sill was used for LC 25 rating: a) Two (2) 5/8" x 3/16" weeps per panel (8 total) at the parting leg, the outside channel track, and the outside channel outside leg, respectively. The weeps were staggered with reference to each other. b) Two (2) weeps per panel on the outermost sill leg. The following weep configuration was used for HC rating: a) Three (3) 3/8" diameter vertical weeps per panel (12 total) in the standard sill inside channel draining down into the subsill. face, WEATHERING: b) Four (4) 7/8" x 3/16" flap weeps evenly distributed along the subsill outside one (1) at each end and two (2) in the field. The head, sill, and jambs contained Amesbury pile with center fin. Each interlock contained a 2" long polypile adhesive back bunny tail at each end. Operable and fixed top and bottom rails contained polypile. The astragal and interlocks contained polypile with center fin. Adjustable plastic air barrier fastened to top of fixed interlock with one (1) screw. HARDWARE: The sash interlock contained a metal, spring loaded, strike lock that engaged a metal keep fastened to the fixed interlock with a pair of screws 24" up from the sill. The lock was fastened to the interlock with a pair of screws. The operable sash bottom rails each contained an adjustable nylon roller in a metal housing at each end. The fixed panel contained a PVC block in the underside at each end of the bottom rail between the sill track and the fixed bottom rail. CONSTRUCTION: All of the frame and panels were mechanically joined with screws. The frame was fastened to the 2" x 6" wooden buck with five (5) screws at each jamb, three (3) in the outside channel and two (2) in the inside channel, and with nine (9) screws at the head and sill, five (5) in the outside channel and four (4) in the inside channel. The sill was fastened to the subsill with a pair of screws every 24". Page : 3 of 5

3 CONSTRUCTION: From the interior, the fixed panel bottom rail was fastened to the sill fixed channel outside leg with a screw 23 inches from each end. A snap-in sill cap was applied between the jambs and fixed panel at each side. CAULKING: a) All of the frame corners were sealed full profile. b) All of the exterior glazing corners were sealed. c) Glazing gasket butt joint at top rails. d) The frame was sealed full profile to the 2" x 6" wood buck. e) Anchor screws along the sill. f) Sill to subsill metal to metal joint sealed full length inside and outside faces. For a complete description of the assembly and parts, refer to the attached cross section and die drawings that have been verified and form a part of this report. Without these drawings, this report becomes null and void. 5 Assembly and die drawings of frame members are on file and have been compared to the sample submitted. Test sample sections, drawings, and a copy of this report will be retained at the test laboratory for four years. This test report may not be altered in any way without the written consent of Fenestration Testing Laboratory. The preceding test results were obtained by using the applicable ASTM and CAWM Test Methods. This report does not constitute Certification of this product.
