Please enter your dancers via the website The site will be open from 4 th May 2015 and close on 31 st May 2015 Once the site is open all results from subsequent feiseanna will be disregarded for the purpose of the grades section of Oireachtas Rince Laighean 2015 This means that any dancer winning out of a grade commencing May, 2015 will still be eligible to compete in that dance & grade at Oireachtas Rince Laighean in June. 1

2 OIREACHTAS RINCE LAIGHEAN 2015 Dear Teacher, Attached is the syllabus for the forthcoming grades section of Oireachtas Rince Laighean. We will again be using the online entry system for both grades & championship sections of the Leinsters. Entry for both events will be through Please read carefully the following information from feisentry.com. 1. In order to lodge entries for Oireachtas Rince Laighean, an account with feisentry.com is required. Accounts are only available to CLRG registered teachers & all applications for accounts are checked against the CLRG teachers list. 2. It is likely that many Leinster teachers will already have accounts especially if they have entered dancers for the Irish Nationals recently. For those that haven t, please go to & click on the Account Request button at the right side of the main page & complete the form. All applications are dealt with manually and a response can be expected within 12 hours but usually sooner. 3. If you get stuck with the system, please contact support@feisentry.com by Please try not to leave it until the final day to submit entries especially for those using the system for the first time & therefore setting up new accounts. 5. Entries will be accepted online from 9am on Monday 4 th May 2015 & will close at 11pm on Sunday 31 st May Please also note the following. All entries submitted online must be paid for. All payments must be made in one lump sum by the teacher. No individual payments or cheques will be accepted. This payment should be made directly to Deirdre Fagan Cox, Secretary of Comhairle Laighean. Cheques must be made payable to Comhairle Laighean. In Bun Grád 2 Hand and 3 Hand Competitions, dancers must have competed in at least one light dance solo competition in Bun or Tús Grád at the Oireachtas. Basic Steps only may be used. 2. In Bun Grád Céilí Dancing, i.e. 4, 6, or 8 Hands, competitions are confined to those competitors who have never won a 1 st place for that particular dance in any age or grade. Dancers who have won Open Championships are not permitted to compete in this section as per the rules of An Coimisiún in relation to Bun Grád Competitions. 3. No dancer may be a member of more than one team in any one competition. Bun Grád competitions are confined to dancers who have never won 1 st prize in that particular dance in any grade, including two-hand and three-hand competitions. Bun Grád steps must be performed. Bun & Tús Grád competitions are confined to Leinster except for the Over 18 age group in both grades which is open to competitors from all regions worldwide. 4 Tús Grád competitions are confined to dancers who have never won 1 st prize in Tús,Lár, Meán or Ard Grád. Tús steps must be danced. 5 Lár Grád competitions are confined to dancers who have never won 1 st prize in that particular dance in their age or higher in Lár, Meán or Ard Grád. 6 Meán Grád competitions are confined to dancers who have never won 1 st prize in that particular dance in their age or higher in Meán or Ard Grád. 7 Make up is not permitted in Bun and Tús Grád up to and including under 12 competitions. 8 Competitors in all ages in Bun and Tús Grád competitions may only wear class costume, skirt and blouse or appropriate civilian clothing. Low cut tops or short tight skirts are not permitted. Failure to comply with rules 7 and 8 may lead to disqualification from competition. 9 In all Bun and Tús Grád Competitions, the number of dancers who will be re-graded to Tús and Lár or Meán Grád respectively will be determined by the number who compete in the competition according to the following table: competitors 1 st place regraded competitors 1 st and 2 nd place regraded 41 and over 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place regraded 10 The winners of under five Bun Grád competitions will still be eligible to dance Bun Grád in older age groups for the dance or dances they have won under 5. This exception only applies to the Bun Grád under 5 competitors. 4
