2 Ankle Sprain Symptoms - Mild aching to sudden pain, swelling, discoloration, inability to move ankle properly, pain in the ankle even when no weight is applied -Treatment -Ice, elevation, wrapping, stirrup, crutches, medication and ankle strengthening exercises - 3 "grades" of an ankle sprain - 4 stages/levels of rehab - should be performed up to 5 days per week

4 The Role of Games in Rehab/ Research - Much of the research regarding video games in neurorehabilitation has been with hemiparetic post-stroke (Wii) - Video games not only boost physical rehabilitation but also people s desire to work harder without fatigue. (John Hopkins Medicine) Overview of the main videogame console systems (Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation and Microsoft Xbox ) scenarios where they have been used for rehabilitation - "As early as the 1980s researchers were starting to explore the potential application of computer (video) games in older adults." (Smith & Schoene)

16 SWOT analysis Strengths: - New type of game that is interactive while utilizing the rehabilitation process for ankle injuries - Easily accessible (PC product) - Fun story line - Target audience will be engaged

17 SWOT analysis Weaknesses - Doesn't technically exist yet - No cash to market the game - Unable to demo the game - Limited game (didn't cover all of rehab steps)

18 SWOT analysis Opportunities - Get in on the ground floor of a very lucrative, as yet untapped market - Could have significant benefits for injured youth - Has much room for growth (could have more levels, be altered for more kinds of injuries) - Many groups to sell to

20 Our Experience - Overall it was great working with all the different professionals in the IT and Doctor fields - Difficult on our part because we had no background with coding for the game - Creativity of journalism
