1 Ask a group of archers what single piece of equipment has contributed the most to increased shooting accuracy over the past dozen years and you ll probably get a wide variety of opinions. Some would say straighter and more consistently spined arrows, others might say better bows and still others would say more accurate sighting systems. However, in my opinion, a drop-away arrow rest ranks right up there. Drop-away or fall-away arrow rests aren t exactly new and have been around for some time but their popularity continues to grow because many manufacturers are incorporating additional features, such as micro adjustability, anti-bounce back launcher arms and sound deadening technology, into most of their models. The function of an arrow rest, of course, is to support the arrow until the bow is fired. Drop-away arrow rests do that perfectly and then get out of the way of the departing arrow. With nothing touching the arrow, the shot is inherently more accurate and the shooter sees better results. It s a simple 104 idea and one that is being embraced by more shooters every year. For customers looking to improve their shooting skills, discussing the merits of installing a quality drop-away arrow rest may be a great place to start. Customers currently shooting a bow made in the last 10 years or so aren t missing out, as there is a wide variety of drop-away arrow rests from which they can choose. Modern bows are generally drilled and tapped to the same AMO specifications, so any peripheral equipment, such as sights, quivers and rests, will be able to be installed without trouble. Today s manufacturers are challenged to keep up with the increased precision and accuracy of many of today s shooters and fortunately, they are up to the task by developing equipment that lives up to the challenge. Drop-away rests are increasing in popularity with hunters and an increasing number of target shooters are turning to them as well. As a result, we decided to take a look at what s available for customers and present dealers with a wider picture of what manufacturers are offering for Arizona Archery Enterprises Arizona Archery Enterprises (AAE) says where improvement is possible, the company continues to make small changes to its existing products. The AAE s Pro Drop rest is micro adjustable both horizontally and vertically, making it easy to set up and tune. The Whale Tale Launcher utilizes a proprietary urethane that over molds the ultra forgiving spring steel launcher and to further reduce noise, a sound deadening Launch Pad accessory is included.

He explained that an extreme amount of time and engineering went into the development of the new UltraRest MXT so that in addition to its micro adjustability, it remained lightweight, sleek in design and packed with the award-winning features for which the UltraRest line is known today. If the button is not pushed ahead of time, the jaws quickly squeeze the arrow upon the draw of the bow.
