2 For M.A. (English) Part-II Students Circular Regarding Internal Assessment Session : Dear students, Wish you are fine! Welcome to M.A. (English) Part-II in Department of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala After having gone through the Syllabus of M.A. (English) Part-II, you must have noticed that the final written examination will be of 75 marks and there will be Internal Assessment of 25 Marks. For the Internal Assessment of 25 Marks, two modes have been adopted for M.A. (English) students: i) 5 marks for attendance in Personal Contact Programme (PCP) of five days (one mark per day per class) ii) 20 marks for two Response Sheets Personal Contact Programme of five days duration will be held in different batches in both the semesters (Third & Fourth) in which the attendance will be compulsory. The student will be given one mark for attending one period of each course. You are required to attend the classes only in the batch you are called (your Roll No. figures). In case you are not able to attend the classes in the allotted batch, you will be called in the last batch which will be held for those students who could not come in their allotted batch. You will be informed about it. From the list of questions for two Response Sheets, in Response Sheet-I, you have to attempt one long question of 10 marks and in Response Sheet-II, you have attempt two short answer questions of 10 marks (5x2=10) out of the given list. Your Response Sheets for the Third Semester should reach the Department by 15 th November, 2016 and for the Fourth Semester by 14 th April, After these dates the Response Sheets will not be accepted.
