E X P L O R E ABOUT Lithodomos focuses on creating superior, immersive, experiences that give users an incredible sense of wonder of being transported to another place; another world, a bygone era, now lost, from another time. We have a collection of beautifully crafted, and curated, archaeologically correct, and academically accurate, reconstructions of major cities and sites. We ve redefined historical interest so that, not only can you see, but we ve created the technology to allow you to step inside and immerse yourself in these Bygone Worlds. Y O U R S E L F It is staggering, that after traveling such vast distances, visitors are still constantly having to exclaim: I wonder what it used to be like. Don t wonder what the world was. Witness it. 04 Catalogue_2018 Catalogue_
collect moments not things World Tour You ve waited and planned, now start Pack your bag Got the essentials, smartphone, camera Dream Destination Relax and enjoy every inch of traveling Experience Do something that you ve never done Destination Go somewhere that you ve never been OUR MISSION We are providing our clients with incredible content and experiences that they can provide to their visitors. You will most certainly stand out from the crowd when you are able to give visitors a veritable time-machine to allow them to experience and explore historical places all over the world. A recent report found that visits to ancient sites, ranging from historic towns to archaeological parks, significantly improve wellbeing for the average visitor. The report illustrates the vital role history plays in our life by measuring its value and impact on individuals and communities. Of those surveyed, 73 per cent of adults and 69 per cent of five to 15-year-olds said they had visited an historic site this year. The world is filled with mind-blowing man-made wonders. Over thousands of years of human history, we ve produced amazing stuff, even if, sadly, not all of it has lasted until today. With many breathtaking and incredible historical sites built by ancient civilizations, it s hard to narrow down the best. Think of all the lists of historical wonders out there and how different they are. Everyone has their own, including us. We ve started the journey with the best historical sites and monuments in the world. DREAM DESTINATION Whether it s the hustle and bustle of a modern city, or the middle of desert hundreds of miles from human settlement, or at the edge of the ocean in an ancient trading port that is no-longer in use, the world is full of ancient wonder and places that must not only be visited, but experienced. Below are some of our favourite historical sites that we think every traveler must try to visit at some point. The story that these ruins tell is part of humanity s story, it is our shared collective ancestry. They contain a deep record of our history, power, commonalities, stories and shared experiences. They show us how we have developed as a species. Don t miss them! 06 Catalogue_2018 Catalogue_
beyond your imagination 50 Countries DESTINATION GREECE Though it s currently (and seemingly has been forever) getting a face-lift, the Parthenon is still astounding and breathtaking. This ancient temple to Athena stands as a symbol of the power of Athens and a testament to Greek civilization. Moreover, it provides amazing views of Athens and nearby ruins, whose temples and buildings are equally as wondrous. Over the centuries, much of it and the surrounding structures have been destroyed by war and looters. Luckily, the structure still stands at least for now. This marvel of Ancient Greek achievement is currently in the midst of a large conservation project to ensure that this temple endures for centuries more. They do things slowly in Greece because the lifestyle is so enjoyable. We also have given travelers the ability to visit and explore: Olympia - birthplace of the Olympic games Delphi - A famous sanctuary that Greeks considered the centre of world Sounion - with the temple of Poseidon Corinth - An incredible city of antiquity We have multiple different tours in Greece. From companies that offer walking tours, taxi tours, scooter and segway tours to your old fashioned guides. Greece is the birthplace of it all. 08 Catalogue_2018 Catalogue_
if not now when? ROME The Colosseum and the Roman Forum are right next to each other in Rome, so they have been bundled together. Remnants of the civilization that once controlled the known world, these sites are breathtaking not only for their beauty but also for their history and age. You re standing in the spot Caesar walked and gazing into the arena where gladiators battled to the death. The Colosseum has slowly crumbled throughout the ages, and much of it is restricted now, especially the basement where elaborate machinery and wild beasts were kept. But, we have given our travelers the ability to see it all; stand inside places that are off-limits. The Forum is great to walk around (and it s free), though a ticket is required for Palatine Hill. Get a guided tour because the history is so rich, and the stories so vivid, it s almost impossible to believe. You can also explore: Circus Maximus - Ready for a chariot race? Pompeii - UNESCO heritage site Milan - Global fashion with ancient history Florence - A huge living outdoor museum 10 Catalogue_2018 The lines for Italy s great monuments are parks are long, and to avoid standing in the baking heat waiting in line, book a tour with one of our operators that allow you to skip the line! dont be a tourist be a traveller Catalogue_
life is an adventure dare it BATH & STONEHENGE dont listen to what they say go see Fascinating for visitors of all ages, with not only the Great Bath to take in, but the remains of the Temple to Sulis Minerva, hypocaust (underfloor heating) systems, more hot and cold baths, and lots of finds. The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level. There are four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the museum, holding finds from Roman Bath. The buildings above street level date from the 19th century. The Baths are a major tourist attraction and, together with the Grand Pump Room, receive more than one million visitors a year. Visitors can see the baths and museum but cannot enter the water. The VR guides are excellent particularly the immersion for younger people. Screens show you around the ancient city and explain how it was all used. Set aside two hours for the visit. Go early or late on weekdays to avoid school groups, and early or late at weekends to avoid what can be lengthy queues to get in. Did you know. Each year, 20,000 people gather at Stonehenge to celebrate the Summer Solstice, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky all year. It makes for a spectacular sunrise! Located near Salisbury, in the UK, Stonehenge is a megalithic structure over 3,000 years old, and its stones come all the way from Wales. Scholars still do not know how the builders got the stones there and have tried to replicate the feat, with mixed results. We have created an experience where travellers get to step inside Stonehenge as a construction site. We only have a vague idea of its purpose (we re basically just guessing). Stonehenge is now fenced off, and even if you can no longer go into the circle; we can get you inside, up close, and personal with one of our tours. Visitors can walk around the attraction, but it is very much worth visiting for the mystery behind it and an excellent and detailed exploratory tour. We have created an array of walking tours, bike tours, coach tours and provide flexibility for a number of key tourism sites around London, England and the United Kingdom. Already in existence, or in production are: Jack the Ripper Tour - London - follow a dark and mysterious journey around the east end of London to track one of the world s most infamous serial killers Royal Tour - explore London from a bike, or walk, and see the London that the Royals of bygone eras were witnessing Hadrian s Wall - a defensive fortification spanning the width of the Britain - it is a UNESCO world heritage site St Paul s Cathedral (Coming Soon) and Malmesbury Abbey & castle Nunnery 12 Catalogue_ Catalogue_2018
We already cover the globe with incredible experiences, with many more to come, and people of all ages are standing in the shoes of legends and exploring our world as it once was. Just have a look at some of the inspiring places our travelers can visit: Croatia - Split Croatia - Pula Croatia - Vizula Spain - Cordoba Spain - Malaga Spain - Barcelona Spain - Valencia Spain - Belmez Israel - Jerusalem - Tower of David Israel - Sepphoris Israel - Masada Portugal - Lisbon Portugal - Evora Turkey - Ephuses Bulgaria - Plovdiv Cyrpus - Pathos Theatre Greece - Odeion of Agrippa Italy - Palatine Hill Italy - Capitoline Hill Italy - Palermo We have curated these remarkable experiences, making them simple to bring to your own operations and easy to give them to your own groups of traveler. There is nothing left to do except get in contact now and step inside and explore. do it now the future is promised by no one Catalogue_ Catalogue_
