2 WELCOME TO BARCELONA Dear friends and colleagues, We are very pleased to invite you all to join us at the Barcelona Breast Meeting 2017 that will be held from March 14 to 17 in Barcelona. We have an exciting scientific programme that we are sure you will find dynamic and diverse. The expert faculty will present the cutting edge of current revisional surgery techniques and complex cases. There will be much discussion on hot topics and trends in areas of breast cancer treatment that have an impact on the quality of life and final outcomes. We are planning to do live surgery to highlight trends and innovations in these fields and there will be a video-surgery session showing tips and tricks of some of the leading world experts. We know you will find this year s programme particularly motivating and inspiring. In conjunction with the Breast Meeting 2016 this year we are holding the 6th World Symposium on Lymphedema Surgery. We are organising this symposium together with Prof. David Chang (Chicago University Hospital) and Prof. Ming-Huei Cheng (Chang Gung Memorial Hospital) who will discuss the indications for this highly complex procedure and present the techniques used and progress to date. We hope you will join us next March as your perspectives and contributions will add immeasurable value to this meeting.
