20 C. Rectifier Sense Lead Input Jumper: This jumper needs set to match the system. If there is a sense lead fuse located in the system control section and the rectifier is connected via ribbon cable to the control section this jumper should be placed in the Remote Sense Via J1" position. If the sense lead is brought in manually to J12, put the Jumper in the Remote Sense Via J12" position. If the system uses the rectifiers in local internal sense mode, place the jumper in the local sense position. If this shelf is being added to an existing Power system and the sense mode is unknown, look into an existing shelf and put the Jumper of the new shelf in the matching position. (See Figure 2-1). On ship loose Rectifier Shelves, the jumper is shipped in the Remote Sense Via J1" position for Ribbon Cable Connection. D. FRAME GROUND AND C.O. GND Connections: Not required when installed into a PECO II power system designed for use with this rectifier shelf. Typically the frame ground of the chassis is via the bay framework that the rectifier shelf is mounted in. If this rectifier chassis is to be mounted in a non conductive framework, special provisions will have to be made by the installer to meet Telco, NEC, and UL requirements as needed. Typically the C.O. ground reference connection is made via the power system at the GND return bar. If this rectifier shelf is to be used in a special application that has no ground reference, special provisions will have to be made by the installer to meet Telco, NEC, and UL requirements as needed.
