6 Construction of Magnetic Transducer (Miniature Buzzer) With referance to the below drawing which shows the construction of PAC-WT-1201 type magnetic transducers, the operation principle of PAC miniature sound transducers can be explained as follows; As shown in the drawing, the metal vibrating disk located in between two covers oscillotes and makes sound by magnetic field which attracts the vibrating disk being affected by the imposed magnetic flux. This movement is generated by the current through the coil which is located in the magnetic circuits consisting of permanent magnet and iron core. NO. 7 Rated Voltage The term Rated Voltage in the specification of PAC s transducers and buzzers are described as: For Miniature Audio Transducers (External Drive Circuitry) e.g. PAC-GT-1515RP2: Rated Volage is 1.5 V 1.5V 1.5V O-P For Miniature Audio Tranducers and Low Pitched Sound Buzzers (Self--Contained Drive Circuitry) e.g. Helmholz Resonator 6.0V 6.0DCV (continuous) For increasing sound pressure level and/or modifying resonant frequency. It is possible to increase the sound pressure level at a certain frquency if an appropriate resonator is provided for an acoustic transducer as illustrated below. The resonant frequency is determined by the equation given below, through a slight adjustment is necessary to add the volume encolsed within the transducer.
