Sisem /1 Interfering Signals Sweep A broad spectrum of services supporting mobile networks implementation, development and optimization
ABSTRACT In a mobile network, interferences happen ever more frequently and with ever more impact on the major KPI Networks. An interference can cause the complete unavailability of a radiomobile service with all the results that follow, considering that it is a fully-fledged public service and that the operators have obligations in terms of minimum levels of availability, which are very strict. SISEM offers an emergency service on BTS or NodeB sites to solve interferential problems in up-link, both caused by external and intra-system factors.
The investigation activities consider two main cases: Method of investigation The interference is generated by the system itself - Malfunctioning of some element in the receiving/transmitting chain - Source and target of the interference are the same - Intra-system passive intermodulation The interference is generated by an external device - Tv antenna amplifiers - Phone jammers - Isofrequency TV transmitters - Mini-repeaters - Satellite antennas

Sisem /2 LOS/MIM A broad spectrum of services supporting mobile networks implementation, development and optimization
ABSTRACT/1 A LOS (Line of Sight) verification for point-to-point link is a prior study of the physical space available and of possible obstacles to the realization of the link for PDH/SDH systems. The verification can be carryed out by means of optical equipment or an electromagnetic approach. The objective of the study is to indicate the quality of the LOS, according to a predefined scale, depending on how any obstacles impact on the First Fresnel Ellipsoid: Antenna 1 Height Obstacle Height First Fresnel Ellipsoid Line of Sight Curvature of the Earth Clear area in Fresnel zone Antenna 2 Height FRESNEL is completely free from obstacles LOS is excellent radio link is doable
ABSTRACT/2 The proximity of obstacles to the First Fresnel Ellipsoid or the presence of obstacles within it downgrade the evaluation of the radio link to: good or sufficient, questioning its feasibility. FRESNEL is completely occupied by obstacles LOS is null radio link is not doable Antenna 1 Height Obstacle Height First Fresnel Ellipsoid Line of Sight Clear area in Fresnel zone Antenna 2 Height Curvature of the Earth
ABSTRACT/3 The feasibility study for a point-to-point link is completed with the interferential analysis and the channel search for the activation of the link for PDH/SDH systems within the bands from 7 to 23 GHz. the objective of the study is the identification of interfering signals, that is channels already used by other operators for the implementation of a point-to-point link within the band and within the polarization in question. The acceptable interfering signals can be different depending on the direction they come from, on the basis of the radiation diagram of the antenna to install.

Sisem /3 drive-test A broad spectrum of services supporting mobile networks implementation, development and optimization
ABSTRACT Drive-tests are activities to monitor and verify the performances of a mobile network, considering the usual conditions of a constumer use (customer experience) Test results can be used to: optimize the design of a radio network readjustment based on the user s preferences (performance benchmarking) resolution of punctual problems (troubleshooting) verification of the performances after a radio upgrade or a technological intervention
Usually the activity is carried out on board of specifically equipped vehicles, but it can also be done by means of handheld devices, particularly to test the performances of a network in an indoor environment Method of investigation
