2 NOISE OBSERVATORY RUMEUR 2.0: OF WORLDWIDE THE ILE DE FRANCE USERS REGION THE ILE DE FRANCE REGION The Ile-de-France region is mainly composed of the Paris metropolitan area Economic attractiveness IDF region covers 12,000 km² EUROPE S most populated region Characterized by the high number and density of transport infrastructures Most populous region in France (11 million of inhabitants = 19% of the French population)

Bruitparif is the Regional Noise Observatory of the Ile-de- France region Created in 2004 for assessing and monitoring noise Noise is one of the main concerns of the Ile-de-France inhabitants Monitoring and Assessment of the sound environment Support to public policies Information and awareness actions

4 WHY MEASURMENTS NEED? Noise maps are the only way to have an extensive description But are not sufficient for people because They describe average situations Need for temporal variations of noise Indicators Lden/Ln don t reflect noise peaks related to air, rail traffic neither sudden noises related to road traffic like horns, emergency vehicles, noisy 2-wheelers need for event indicators in complementary to energetic ones Some noise sources are not included: bars, leisure activities, construction activities Need for description of all types of environment People s exposure to noise is the result of various sources Need for a multi-exposure approach

7 THE INFORMATION PLATFORM 1.0 IN IDF Online public access for the past 10 years. Developed by Bruitparif IT department. Results are dynamically products Time history of levels Energy indicators Events indicators Reports, etc Instantaneous noise levels Noise indicators calculated every hour, day, week, month or year The platform is able to manage data of monitoring stations from different manufacturers (01dB, Rion, Azimut ) The platform displays results in real time for data from noise monitoring stations with this technical capability.

Developped in HTML 5 & CSS3 Responsive design look good on all devices (desktops, tablets, and phones) Deeply redesigned: to keep the fluidity of the display from the RUMEUR V1 developed with Silverlight technology to keep all the functionalities and tools already developed To propose new functionalities To be multi-users & multi-territories Information platform customization for each partners Data storage and backup for all the partners
