Using Fourier series to analyse the input waveforms, I was able to mathematically model the range of power factors that was needed to get optimal performance. It involved a lot of laboratory measurements using HP Oscilloscope to measure the sinusoidal waveforms of the current/voltage to the input of the AC-DC Rectifier. The effect of different power factors on the waveforms was analyzed, and a range of Power Factor for optimum performance vis-avis cost was obtained. I also advised on ways to regulate the power factor in such a manner that the electricity will be affordable M.Sc PROJECT(Dielectric Parameter Measurement Of Radome Materials) My M.Sc Thesis was on dielectric measurement of dielectric properties for Radome materials used in covering the outside of microwave antennas. My M.Sc project was titled Dielectric Parameter measurement of Radome materials.it was a research and analysis based project, which tried to reproduce a newly developed method of measuring dielectric properties by Agilent Technologies using the Gated- Reflect-Line (GRL) Calibration technique. The project was quite complex because it involved a method that was quite new and required some intricate analysis, which moved the reference plane of the calibration from the ends of the calibration cables to the sample. It also involved the use of Lab View from

6 National Instruments, a graphical programming language that uses icons instead of lines of text to create applications. Lab View was used in creating a Virtual Instrument Network Analyzer, which emulated the actual functions of the real Network Analyzer and captures the waveforms and data of its screen. The data collected from the GRL calibration techniques were mathematically analyzed and the resultant dielectric constant calculated using a math lab program. The S-parameters values were used in deriving the equations for the dielectric constant and loss tangent. In the project, I made measurement of three materials, and calculated their dielectric constants and loss tangents from the equations I developed TEACHING EXPERIENCE :UK TUTORS FREELANCE ENGINEERING MATHS TUTOR:I was employed by UK Tutors in London as private an M.Eng Civil Engineering student in Imperial College RESEARCH INTEREST Dielectric Parameter Measurement Millimeter waves Antenna Ultra Wide Band(UWB) antennas On-body Antenna CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS 2002:NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS, Lagos branch- Impact of Engineering on the Nigerian Economy 2003:CODAN TECHNOLOGIES, Lagos-VSAT Technologies in Nigeria 2007: Ericsson Systems Integration training SCHOLARSHIPS CHEVRON Full Scholarship for First degree studies Federal Government Scholarship 2005:Queen Mary partial Scholarship
