3 Application The Multi-Radio Connection provides the indirect activation of wireless control of conventional, mains-driven continuous small servo drives. Within the signal chain the works as a radio converter. In radio networks it represents the interface between wireless signal paths and line-dependent activation. The voltage supply of the is an integrated switching power supply unit which permits the power supply on the secondary side for a maximum of two continuous small servo drives of the types M25Y or M15Y-S2. 4 Assembly General installation notes Devices communicating via radio can not always be assembled at arbitrary locations, as wireless data transmission is more or less strongly influenced by the constructional and spatial conditions. Prior to installation and assembly, therefore, the building structures must be analyzed and a series of measurements must be carried out to determine the specific ranges inside the building. A corresponding Kieback & Peter service and diagnosis tool is provided for this purpose. To establish an operational and functionally secure communication path, the following aspects must be taken into account prior to and during planning: Natural and constructional influences limit the transmission ranges that can be realized. Building materials and screening elements (e.g., installation shafts, fire doors, switching cabinet doors, etc.) must already be taken into account during the planning phase. High humidity increases the natural signal attenuation. Recommendation: Plan the radio paths horizontally, on one level with max. 30 m distance between transmitting and receiving components. Observe the minimum distances to potential sources of interference - min. 0.5 m to high-frequency interference sources (e.g., microwaves, transformers, computers...) - min. 3 m to transmitters of other function systems (e.g., wireless telephones, headphones...) - min 0.1 m to metal and door frames Minimize effective wall thicknesses, i.e. make wall passage of radio signals as vertical as possible. correct false FCS FCS 30cm >30cm 230 V 230 V Do not choose the installation site in the radio shadow of screening building parts/volumes no direct reception possible. In this context, the regulations of the VDE (Association of German Electrotechnical Engineers) as well as the local regulations are to be observed. The devices shall be connected according to the terminal connection diagram or the applicable appliance connection scheme. Connection Use only small servo drives with DC power supply. By means of the 3-digit address code, radio paths can be established with theoretically up to 999 participants. Before switching on the mains, check the correct assembly and electric connection. Initial operation may be performed only by qualified expert personnel! Set the address code The same address code must be set at the assigned transmitting modules as well. The device is delivered with the setting 000. Training with the and the corresponding field device takes place automatically with the first regularly received radio telegram. Please observe possibly delayed data transmission due to the transmission interval of a radio path! Radio communication in the 868 MHz frequency band is not maintained permanently, but is subject to a legally determined relationship between transmission period and transmission pause ("duty cycle"). When the radio communication is interrupted, the connected drives are set in a security position. The valves are then opened to 30%. The reception of a valid radio telegram resets this function.
