Important Please Read: The information, specifications and illustrations in this manual are based on the latest information available at the time of printing. The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes at any time without notice. This manual is intended as a guide for service of the controller only. System installation requires information from a number of suppliers not known at the time of control manufacture. This product should be installed by a plumbing professional. This product must be installed in compliance with all state and municipal plumbing and electrical codes. Permits may be required at the time of installation. If daytime operating pressure exceeds 80 psi, nighttime pressures may exceed pressure limits. a pressure reducing valve must be installed if pressure exceeds 125 psi. Do not install the unit where temperatures may drop below 32 F (0 C) or above 110 F(43 C). Do not strike the controller or any of the components. We are responsible for the failure of manufacturing defects of controller. A prefilter should be used on installations in which free solids are present. Correct and constant voltage must be supplied to the controller to maintain proper function. The plug of the controller s ground wire must be grounded. Current protector should be used with controller s electric source. The maximum current is 1A. If it be set at outdoor, please make sure have method of rain prevention and protection of sunshine. Altitude < 2000m 3
Controller Dimension(mm) 4
Installation Four M4 bolts fixed on the support Connect a hose of 1/4 "or 6 mm in diameter into the signal hole of the distributor for the current application. 1. Power supply of 230V/50HZ or 110V/60HZ. 2. Installed on the support bracket or in the control cabinet. 3. The bracket needs to be fastened firmly to prevent safety risks caused by vibration mm space both on the left and right side of controller needed for the sake of maintenance. 5. No less than 500 mm space needed below the controller to install a control hose. Specifications: Frequency Range: 50/60HZ Voltage Range: 230V/110V (To be confirmed) Power Rating: 20W Max Humidity: 75%RH, non-condensing Temperature : >32 (0 ) <140 (60 ) Maximum control pressure: 118 PSI (8 Bar) Power specification: AC230/5A Weight:3Kg 5
Operating Principle Module of Man-Machine Dialogue gue Module of Parameter Communication Module Module of Flowrate Measure Module of Timing Reference Module of Display Module of Regeneration Control Master Module of Device monitor Module of Signal Sync Relative Device of Regeneration Module of Pressure Source Distribution The controller enters to the Module of Parameter followed by Module of Flowrate Measure or Module of Timing Reference ( including weakly timer mode, interval timer mode) setting regeneration of the current unit operation. Set parameters by entering the selected operation mode. Flow rate equipped mode: initiate a regeneration by a pulse signal from the current water output volume. Weekly timer mode: initiate a regeneration by daily frequency for the period of one week. 6
Interval timer mode: initiate a regeneration by the operation period. A regeneration process is equipped by controller, the Regeneration Control Master controls pressure distributors running through Module of Signal Sync. The regeneration process can be monitored by a monitor device, then it will be back to the original parameters and proceed to the next cycle once the regeneration is completed. The controller enters to Communication Module, allowing communication among controllers, thus realizing muti-tanks online supplying treated water and one unit in standby, or all units in parallel service and regeneration sequentially. Note: see attached page for distributor application. Features: 1. JKA stager controller has muti-function, developed specifically for water filtration, softening, desalination and other water treatment system ; 2. Easy to operate, no need for expertise; 3. The settled parameters are protected by password, Not free to change; 4. Various regeneration initiating modes (including weakly timer mode, interval timer mode, Flow Rate Equipped Mode and remote control mode), the regeneration choice made accordingly. Under specific circumstances, manual regeneration is chosen. 5. The controller can memorize, all displays and programming during a power failure are stored for use upon power re-application. It retains all values, without loss. 6. To accommodate the field environment, the generation cycle could be adjusted. 7

5. Setting of COMM mode In order to adapt to high-flow Filtration or Softener, the JKA2.1 is designed with a communication function. Not only can it realize process of "multiple tanks in service and one in standby " but also "all tanks in parallel service and regeneration sequentially" by connection of terminal "03" and terminal"04". 5.1 Connection-diagram 21
Prior to setting, please make sure each controller is connected by twisted pair, which must be greater than 1mm 2. There are two Communication modes of " D " mode and " E " mode. D mode --"Multiple tanks in service and one in standby", once regeneration cycle is complete, the regenerated tank will enter standby state. There is always one tank in standby and the rest tanks all in service. The standby tank begins service to maintain flow rate enough for regeneration, once other in-service tank starts regeneration process. E mode -- "All tanks in parallel service and regeneration sequentially " Every tank is back washed sequentially by E mode and no more than one tank in regeneration at the same time. When the regeneration cycle is complete, the regenerated tank will begin in service immediately. Note: Mode of " D " and " E " are not applicable in setting of Week mode. 5.2 Setting for Communication Connect the controllers according to the above Connection-diagram, the maximum quantity of devices is 10 sets. Enter into the main screen by the password of " 2017 " as previous set. Otherwise, Communication will fail. In addition, the local ID value must be smaller than the total ID value. Press( )to get to Total ID:" 00 " Local ID: 01 Total ID:00 L Press( )to set the numbers. 23
Local ID: 01 Total ID:05 L Press key(enter), it displays: Mode COMM set Enter the Mode again: ID Mode COMM Mode Press( )to get to "COMM Mode" COMM Set ID COMM Mode Press key(enter)to enter COMM D E S If select " D " mode, press key(enter) directly, and press " ESC " back to main screen. If select " E " mode, press( )to get to " E " COMM D E S Press key(enter), then press "ESC" back to main scree, Local Setting is complete. If only one set of controller in the system, please select " S ", then press key(enter). Comm Mode D E S Note: "S "is the factory default mode. The setting of other controllers are same as above. 24
"D"and "E"are alternative modes, only one mode can be selected. Please power off and restart all the controllers after setting completed. "D"Mode has to use solenoid-valve to realize standby state. "ID"value has to match its position in system. (See Connection-diagram above) "ID"value of controller-no.1 is"01"; "ID"value of controller-no.2 is "02"; "ID"value of controller-no.3 is "03"; "ID"value of controller-no.4 is"04". Press ( ) to get to "Manu" Clock Mode MProg SProg Manu Test Press key(enter), the screen displays: ManuStep 01/03 Pass 900S When the regeneration starts, the time remainder would decrease gradually, till to zero. Then it starts the 2 nd step, and processes all steps sequentially. Back to Main program automatically after all steps finished. 2. Stop the regeneration process in the middle of it, press ( ) and ( ) together, it displays: NO EXIT? YES Then press key (ENTER)to jump out and back to the main screen. If press key(esc), it would be back to regeneration again. Jump out of the working step during a regeneration process, press and hold key (ESC) for 5 seconds above, it displays: EnterSkip 01/03 Left 600S Press key(enter) to jump out of the working step EnterSkip 02/03 Left 600S 28
It will jump to the next program. Press key(enter) again skip all process steps. Appendix 1. K value reference table (This table conforms to national PN10 and metric PVC pipe standard.)
