6 Passive Bistatic Radar (PBR) A set of techniques that uses non-cooperative signals as Illuminators of Oporttunity, instead of a dedicated one, to detect targets and to estimate parameters. Advantages: Low development and maintenance costs. No frequency allocation. Low probability of intercept. Challengues: Detection and classification stages are difficult to design. 6

Technological objective: IDEPAR demonstrator. To prove the feasibility of passive radars for the detection and tracking of slow moving targets in terrestrial scenarios.
