3 3 Intended use The AC Sensor 63 or 250 (referred to hereinafter as ACS) power meter is a device that detects the electrical measurements at a 1 or 3-phase AC voltage connection and transmits the value via CAN bus. The device is intended exclusively for private use with a MyReserve battery storage system and the EnergyManager. This product is not an active electric energy meter as defined by EU Directive 2004/92/EC (IDE). The ACS must not be used for billing purposes. The data that the device records may differ from the data of the energy meter used for billing. The ACS must only be connected in the household junction box on the consumer side downstream from the energy meter of the power supply company. It is suited exclusively for use indoors in a switch box or meter cabinet. The ACS is approved for use in Member States of the EU, as well as Switzerland and Australia. Its use is permitted exclusively in compliance with the specifications of the accompanying documentation. Any other use will result in property damage and personal injury. Modifications and installation of additional components are prohibited for safety reasons. The accompanying documentation is an integral component of the product. The user of the product must have read and observed the documentation and keep it accessible at all times. 4 Safety HAZARD Life-threatening danger due to electric shock! The live parts carry extremely dangerous voltages. Only use the ACS in a dry environment and keep it away from liquids. Only operate the ACS behind a cover or with a contact guard in a switch cabinet. Disconnect the ACS before cleaning it and only clean it using a dry cloth. IMPORTANT Damage or destruction of the ACS with improper use! Connection of mains voltage to the CAN bus terminals can damage or destroy the device. Operation outside of the specified technical data can damage or destroy the device (see "Technical data" at the end of this guide). 5 7 Connection and commissioning 7.1 ACS 63 IMPORTANT Observe the 5 safety rules! HAZARD Life-threatening danger due to electric shock! Extremely dangerous voltage runs through the household junction box. Disconnect the connection point and secure against re-connection. Ensure that the conductors that are connected to the ACS 63 or should be disconnected from it are de-energized. 1. Insert the sleeves included with the AC Sensor 63 into feeds for external conductors (D). NOTE If you are using cables with diameters > 10 mm, the included sleeves cannot be used as feed-through aids. Please note that the sleeves can no longer be removed once the cables are fed through! 2. Mount the ACS 63 on a top-hat rail. For this purpose, hook the device on the upper edge of the top-hat rail and press down until it clicks into place. 3. Pull the three phase conductors L1, L2 and L3, through the openings D. NOTE With a single-phase network, a house connection cable having a diameter 16mm² and an incoming current 63A, only connect the neutral conductor and the phase conductor to terminal L3. With a single-phase network, a house connection cable having a diameter >16mm² and an incoming current > 63A, use the Phase Splitter and the Phase Splitter Installation Guide from SOLARWATT. Please observe all local standards and connection guidelines when installing the AC Sensor 50/63. 6 4. Connect neutral conductor N and the phase conductors L1, L2 and L3 to the terminals in connection area A. Attention: It must be ensured that each phase conductor that is connected to L1, L2 and L3 has the same potential as the corresponding phase conductor that runs through the openings D. If the phase conductors are transposed in the openings D or in connection area A, incorrect power levels are measured. With a single-phase network, only connect the neutral conductor and the phase conductor to terminal L3. In the process, observe the permissible connection cross-section. 5. Connect the CAN-MR interface to the CAN communication of the MyReserve. When a EnergyManager is in use, connect the CAN-EM interface, then to the CAN communication of the EnergyManager. 6. Cover the ACS 63 with the cover or contact guard of the junction box. 7. Re-connect the power to the junction box. Additionally required material (not included in the scope of delivery): Cable for CAN communication (min. Cat5.e with wires twisted in pairs) Three-phase conductor circuit breaker arranged in the meter cabinet near the ACS 63, easily accessible and identified as a breaker for the ACS 63 with tripping characteristic B10A or B16A NOTE The safeguarding of the conductors for voltage measurement can also be executed with a double tap on an existing circuit breaker in compliance with applicable standards and the manufacturer's specifications. The following figures show the connection of the single-phase and three-phase ACS 63 to MyReserve and incorporating the EnergyManager. They are sample connections. For more exact specifications for the connection, contact the responsible power supply company. 9 7.2 ACS 250 HAZARD Life-threatening danger due to electric shock! Extremely dangerous voltage runs through the household junction box. Disconnect the connection point and secure against re-connection. Ensure that the conductors that are connected to the ACS 63 or should be disconnected from it are de-energized. 1. Mount the ACS 250 on a top-hat rail. For this purpose, hook the device on the upper edge of the top-hat rail and press down until it clicks into place.. 2. Mount the current transformer clamps on the phase conductor of the main cables. Please ensure that the clamps are facing the right direction of the flow of current. 3. The secondary windings (S1,S2) need to go through the pipes of the correct corresponding phases. The secondary windings must be terminated at the clamps. NOTE Please observe all local standards and connection guidelines when installing the AC Sensor. 4. Connect neutral conductor N and the phase conductors L1, L2 and L3 to the terminals in connection area A. Make sure that at least the neutral conductor and one phase conductor are connected to terminal L3. No Measurement data CAN bus not connected correctly Make sure that the connections H, L and GND from the ACS 63 are connected correctly to the receiving device. Make sure that the connections H, L and GND from the ACS 250 are connected correctly to the receiving device. Error Restart the ACS 63 by switching off the corresponding circuit breaker and wait at least 3 seconds before switching it on again. Restart the ACS 250 by switching off the corresponding circuit breaker and wait at least 3 seconds before switching it on again. Implausible measurements Incorrect installation Two or more phase conductors interposed Reconnect and re-commissioning the device, ensuring that the phase conductors exit opening area D (see figure p. 17) in the right direction. Make sure that phase conductors L1, L2 and L3 in connection area D and A (see figure p. 17) are connected to the same phase rail. Carry out the connection and commissioning again and make sure that the phase conductors L1, L2 and L3 are in the right direction to their respective terminals. Make sure the assignment of the phase conductors L1, L2 and L3 on the current transformers is correct and connected to the corresponding terminals of the ACS 250. The secondary winding of one or more current transformer clamps is connected in a wrong direction. Check the direction of the secondary winding of the current transformer clamps.
