2 User instructions Install the Mela -/ senss at a place in the room, plant equipment where characteristic levels of occur. Avoid installing them close to heaters windows against outside walls. Concerning the VC and VR series the specified minimum air speeds and the -adapted current at current- (diagram) should be complied with. Deviations may lead to additional crupted measurement readings because the sens self-heats clocked operation will help to avoid this). he sens can be installed in any position. owever, do avoid positions where water can enter. Dew fmation and splashes do not damage the sens, although crupted measurement readings are recded until all the moisture on and directly around the sintered inox filter has dried up. In der to maintain interference immunity in accdance with EN when it is in use, we recommend that you use a screened cae (type recommended: 8x AWG 26 C UL, der no. 5339) f connecting senss of the VR series, and have this fitted into the sens s EMC conduit thread by a qualified electrician. Dust does not cause any harm to the sens, however, it affects the dynamic perfmance. If there is an excessive build-up of dust, carefully unscrew the protective basket and rinse it out. As a mounting suppt we recommend the mounting plate type ZA 24 (stainless steel base plate with ass screw connections) ZA25 (stainless steel base plate with stainless steel screw connections) (see product info sheet no. F 5.1). In der to check functioning in the place of installation, we recommend that you use the ZE 31/1-type Mela standard with ZE 33-type testing adapter (product info sheet no. F 5.2). he sens can also be used f measuring the of the material via the measurement of the equiliium. herefe insert the sens head far enough into the material to be measured (e.g. bulk material ickwk) and seal it in der to eliminate any connection with the ambient in the room. he relative is measured, which is a measure of the moisture of the material, as equiliium via the sption isotherms of the material. Please consult the application instructions f the sensing elements (product info sheet no. A 1) check with the manufacturer f further infmation which you need to bear in mind when using senss with capacitive sensing elements.
