Any low impedance microphone with a correponding connector can be attached here. If the microp hone require external power (Phantom Power) the 1201XT can upply 48VDC. The XLR connector i wired with pin #1 a ground, pin # 2 a audio + (and +48VDC when Phantom Power i ON) and pin #3 a audio -. Once the microphone i plugged into the 1201XT the locking ring [ m] hould be rotated clockwie until nug. To remove the microphone, firt rotate the locking ring counterclockwie and then, while preing the XLR releae, pull the microphone traight away from the 1201XT. k p q r INTRODUCTION Thank you for electing the Azden 1201 Serie for your portable/eng on-camera UHF wirele need. We are confident that thee component will perform beyond your expectation. For over 50 year, Azden Corporation ha been creating technologically advanced product. By taking advantage of the latet in CAD deign and SMT production technique, Azden engineer are able to produce product that exceed the publihed pecification and perform well beyond the warranty period. The 1201 Serie repreent a breakthrough in on-camera, digital frequency-electable UHF receiver and tranmitter. It enhanced performance aure you of the highet image reection combined with the finet in audio clarity. The PLL-yntheized mixer/local ocillator provide for extremely accurate frequency election while the twin-antenna true diverity front-end reduce multi path ditortion caued dropout to near zero. In the real world of ENG, the ability to be able to elect a clear frequency on the pot i vitally important. Going out into the field with a ingle-frequency unit invite diater ince there i no way of knowing what frequencie will be ued by the other crew that are covering the ame tory or event. Think of the 1201 Serie unit a your inurance policy - Your aurance of getting the tory. Deigned by profeional - For profeional, the 1201 Serie will provide you with year of worry-free, high-quality performance. D. 8 RECEIVER SETUP/USE URX/AB or 1201URX/VM A the RF ignal from the tranmitter get tronger (or weaker) the number of illuminated LCD egment in the diplay will change - with 3 egment being the maximum and bet. Similarly, the AF (audio level) egment will light from 1 to 3 egment a the audio get tronger or weaker. In thi cae, the bet level i achieved a the diplay how between 2 and 3 egment. If all 3 egment tay illuminated for a continued period of time it i likely that you are over-driving the receiver input and you hould reduce the tranmitting level by either moving the microphone further away from the ound ource or reducing the input gain on the tranmitter. THE 1201URX/Si The 1201URX/Si receiver i pecially deigned to work with pecific Panaonic Slot-In or Ikegami Uni-Slot camera. Once mounted in the camera, the DB-25 connector on the bottom provide the receiver with power directly from the camera power upply (battery) while delivering audio directly to the camera audio input. Item A. [ ], C., D. [ p] and G. [ o] on page 1 and 2 apply directly to the 1201URX/Si 1201URX/Si Top panel diplay and operation: The MODE Switch [ r] perform 1 of 5 function. CH will be diplayed. Uing either the UP or DOWN button [ ] the deired receiving channel/frequency combination can be et (the chart on page 3 how the relationhip). Tapping the button tep the channel/frequency number one at a time while preing and holding the button move through the combination rapidly. There are 188 different channel/ frequency combination to chooe from Group allow you to elect all of the combination). Once the deired channel/frequency ha been determined et both the tranmitter and receiver to match. When the receiver i turned OFF the lat channel/frequency choen i tored in memory. Mode #3 (SQ): To change the quelch level, pre the MODE witch for a third time. SQ will how in the diplay. There are 3 etting to chooe from: on on = RF mute ON - Tone mute ON (default) on off = RF mute ON - Tone mute OFF off off = RF mute OFF - Tone mute OFF You can cycle through thee with the UP/DOWN button. The quelch return to the default when the receiver i turned OFF. Mode #4 (SQ Level): There are four level of Squelch to chooe from: 0 =Default 3 = 3dB (RF) increae to the default -6 = 6dB (RF) decreae to the default -3 = 3dB (RF) decreae to the default You can cycle through thee with the UP/DOWN button.
