A built-in smudge and dirt repellent enhances your anti-reflective coating, and makes lenses easy to clean and to keep clean. I wouldn t even consider glasses without anti-reflective coatings, but I have to say incredible headway has been made in the anti-smudge department. AR lenses used to show up every fingerprint and oily smudge and were really tough to clean. I would use dishwashing liquid to get rid of dirty spots and they were hard to dry without streaking.
