2 Christina Banerjee grew up in Alabama, USA. In 2013, she moved to India to teach art. She has been surrounded by art her whole life. Her mother is a professional artist and her father works with wood and sculpts. Thus, art comes naturally to her, and has developed into her profession. She won several art awards throughout school and college, and has also participated in several art exhibitions, including those at local art galleries and others in southeastern United States and now in India. After moving to India, the radically different surroundings have inspired her immensely. She has never been this close to elephants, birds and monkeys! All of this, without ever having been to the zoo! The lives of these animals and ours are affected by the changing surroundings. These paintings come from the amalgamation of her thoughts and experiences from her life in the US and India and the little of the world that she has seen, so far. She is always eager to learn and create. She believed in creating something every day no matter what her mood. She creates artwork that is inspired by the environment and surroundings. She wants her artwork to be able to speak to a wide audience. Adaptation series depicts animals through her travels and where she lives. She wants people to take away from her art a sense of humanity. To appreciate the beauty of these creatures and perhaps Bangalore s gallery in the sky Sublime Galleria is a professionally managed, dynamic meeting ground for upcoming artists, art connoisseurs and buyers. Our artists represent a cross section of styles, media, techniques and forms, which together define the artistic sensibilities that are evolving today. Sublime is on a mission to further the cause of the arts and also sees itself as a dynamic crucible for the next generation to develop and showcase their talent. Sublime reaches out to upcoming artists and offers them a platform to showcase their talents and make their body of work accessible to the art loving customers of Bangalore. instil a thought for what we may be doing to them. The most gratifying thing for her as an artist is to be able to convey her thoughts to the viewer while allowing for their own interpretation. In this way, every viewer is, in a sense, looking at every painting a little differently. She now lives and works in New Delhi, India. Sublime also organises regular workshops for children in various creative and artistic fields like music, painting, drama, dance and more. These workshops are conducted by international experts and offer talented kids an opportunity to develop their skills and augment their knowledge in their chosen area of creative expression.
