2 DISPOSABLE SHARPS CONTAINERS Our Disposable Sharps Containers are a well established, safe, efficient and economical means by which needles and syringes can be collected for sterilisation and destruction. They are robust, pre-assembled and stocked items. They are manufactured locally in Australia to comply with Australian Standards AS All containers are rigorously tested for non-penetrability. The BIO-CAN is a single piece unit (not a nested container) nor does it require any assembly by your staff. This ensures you have great piece of mind when it comes to safety, with no chance of containers falling apart when full if accidently knocked over. The range includes a variety of containers for various applications, as well as Cytotoxic container options. They can be safely autoclaved and incinerated as part of the controlled destruction process. A special fitting is also offered for the removal of needles from various syringes. Please note that correct procedures need to be in place whenever sharps containers are used and the OH & S Officer should be consulted. Openings We offer the option of a screw top or funnel top on almost every size of BIO-CAN. That way you can choose the container to suit your preference or application. 4 Square Selection A range of convenient square shaped one piece sharps containers is available, incorporating the latest features in safety and needle disconnect where required for phlebotomy applications. These containers are robust, pre-assembled and are manufactured to conform to current Australian Standards. The one-way locking push cap helps prevent accidental spillage and post fill access, once correctly sealed. All 3 sizes are now available with black screw cap. They can be safely autoclaved and incinerated as part of the controlled destruction process. When used in conjunction with the correct holder they are suitable for safe single-handed needle and syringe disposal. 5 Oval Selection A range of convenient one-piece multi-use sharps containers is available, incorporating the latest features in safety and needle disconnect. These containers are robust, pre-assembled and nestable to assist in areas short of available storage space. They are manufactured to conform to current Australian Standards for containers of these sizes, which are free standing or wall mounted. The one way locking cap and funnel help prevent needlesticks due to over filling and accidental spillage. All three sizes are now available with black screw caps which are attached to the neck of the container. They can be safely autoclaved and incinerated as part of the controlled destruction process. A lockable wall holder and bench bracket are also available while these containers also fit into most existing holders. 6 Rectangular Selection Low Volume: These sharps containers feature a screw closure, which allows the operator to lock the cap when filled to the safe working level indicator. They also have a multi-use needle disconnect facility allowing Luer lock, Luer slip and multi-sample needles to be removed safely. There is also an open section beneath the cap to allow swabs, needle covers and holders to be deposited. 7 Cytotoxic Selection Handling of sensitive & dangerous cytotoxic waste requires high quality, yet incinerable, single use containers. We offer a range of containers to match the demand of every institution. Our range of cytotoxic sharps waste containers are colour coded and labelled to industry standards. Each container is fitted with a screw cap designed to secure the contents when properly applied. The wide opening of the aperture will easily accept gloves, giving sets, needles & syringes along with many other items.
