4 Art Specifications Submitting Order: Please include the following applicable information when submitting an order via , fax or mail order. Please make sure to include only acceptable file formats, and outlined fonts. Acceptable Formats: The following formats are acceptable submission methods: Vector Outline: - Adobe Illustrator - Adobe Acrobat (PDF) - Macromedia Freehand 4 Color Process: - Adobe Photoshop - Jpeg - Tiff - Eps Files must be a minimum of 300dpi All fonts must be converted to outline Artwork Proofs: Art proofs will be sent via a or fax, within a timely manner. Proofs must be signed, dated and returned by , fax or mail at your earliest convenience. Please Note: Failure to meet artwork specifications may delay the proofing process. Re-creation of artwork is available at $45.00 (z) per hour, one hour minimum. Prepaid Customers Customers on prepaid terms must return all completed order paperwork prior to order being released into production. 4 Color Process (CMYK): 4 color process is a method that reproduces finished full-color artwork. The 4 colors used are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. These inks are translucent and are used to simulate different colors. Artwork is converted to dots and reproduced by overlapping and printing halftones to simulate a large number of colors. While we make every effort to color match your request, we cannot guarantee an exact PMS color match on any 4 color process print. We will silk-screen your part on an 85 line-screen and the finished part will have a more grainy look than a computer image. Large area gradients are not recommended, as they may have banding (small strips) or Morray (color shifts). Spot Colors: Spot colors are printed using our standard colors which have been chosen from the Pantone formula guide and have been standardized for your convenience. We can match any other PMS color at an additional cost. Unlike process printing, which prints dots of color a spot color is printed at 100% and has no dot pattern. A gradient blend can be reproduced by reducing the PMS color percentage to less than 100%. Spot colors cannot be used to simulate a 4 color process artwork. Printing Process: It is important to know the limitations of the printing process. It is often impossible to produce an exact copy of a full color piece of artwork due to limitations of line/dot size and density minimums required to screen print. 2

20 Terms and Conditions Order Information: 1. Ordering Information: To insure the accuracy of your order we accept fax, or mail orders. Orders must be in writing, verbal orders cannot be processed. A written purchase order is required to initiate an order. 2. Pricing: Prices are subject to change without notice. 3. Quantities: Prices are based on over/under runs not exceeding 10%. Where a closer control of quantity is required, specific written arrangements between buyer and seller must be made. For exact quantity shipment a standard charge of $25.00 (z) will apply. 4. Production Times: The standard lead times quoted are approximate. Lead times may vary due to material shortages, circumstances beyond our control, and workload. 5. Expedited Service: Our orders are run on a first in, first out basis to give all customers the best possible lead times. If you need to expedite an order call to discuss rush services and cost. 6. Cancellation Charge: There will be a minimum of $45.00 (z) charge if an order is cancelled after artwork has been prepared. Other charges may apply based on the cost of material ordered on on hand and on the amount of other work performed, plus profit. Cancellations must be sent in writing. 7. Payments: New orders / distributors require pre-payment prior to shipment. Call accounting department to discuss other payment options. 8. Unpaid Balances: Invoices not paid within the terms specified on the invoice will have 1.5 % per month late payment charge assessed against any unpaid balance from the due date of the invoice until the date of payment. Artwork Information: 1. Acceptable File Formats: The following formats are acceptable submission methods: ai, psd, pdf, jpg, tiff, eps. Files must be a minimum of 300 dpi. For vector artwork please insure all fonts have been converted to outline format prior to submission. 2. Legibility: Based on our experience we will use the largest type size deemed appropriate for our ad copy. If this is not acceptable you must note it on the order. For legibility we recommend a minimum of 24 point font size. 3. Rendering: Re-creation of artwork is available at $45.00 (z) per hour, one hour minimum. 4. Fit and Coverage: We are not responsible for fit and coverage problems. Please ensure selected frame style does not conceal DMV / State required license plate content. 5. Proofs: We automatically do a paper proof on all new orders at no extra charge. Additional charge of $10.00 (z) will incur starting at the 4th proof. All repeat proofs are subject to a $5.00 (z) charge. 6. Production Materials: All artwork and dies are the property of Universal Auto Frames. It is our policy to dispose of artwork that has not been used within the last 3 years. *New artwork must be supplied for reorders older then 3 years. Shipping Information: 1. Shipping Information: F.O.B. Anaheim, California. Orders will be sent UPS or by the mode we determine to be most desirable, unless otherwise specified. Special shipping instructions must be included on customer purchase orders and accepted by seller. 2. Split Shipments: Shipping to multiple locations add $8.00 (z) per location. Call customer service for further details. 3. Ship With: Ship-with charges will apply if requested with a charge of $10.00 (z). 4. Alternate Freight / Shipping Services: Additional charge of $15.00 (z) will incur if order specifies alternate shipping method. 5. Shipping Damage Claims and Returns: Inspect entire order upon delivery for damages or lost goods. All claims for loss or damage (concealed or otherwise) must be filed with delivery carrier. Please call customer service so that we may assist in filing a claim against a carrier on your behalf. Shipment should be left intact and claim filed within 48 hours of receipt. Warranty Information: 1. Warranty: Product is guaranteed for a period of 90 days from the date of shipment to be free from defects in materials and workmanship and shall conform to specifications provided by the buyer. The sellers sole obligation under the warranty is, at sellers option, to repair, replace or correct any such defect that was present at the time of delivery, or to refund the purchase price for product to buyer. See limitations on color fade below. If you suspect the product is defective under our warranty provisions, contact the customer service department to discuss the matter immediately. If necessary a customer service representative will issue a return authorization and call tag. Returns without prior authorization will receive NO credit. No returns or credits will be authorized after 90 days. 2. Call Tag Policy: Call tag request will be issued and carriers will make a maximum of three attempts to pick up product. After three unsuccessful attempts, the customer will then incur shipping cost. 3. Color Fade: Color fade will occur to some degree on all inks and foils. In extreme cases fading can occur in as quickly as a few weeks depending on weather conditions and harsh cleaning chemicals. This is especially noticeable in fluorescent / lumi colors. A color chart is available to indicate the relative color fastness of our inks and foils. 4. Prolonged Resin Exposure: White license frames will yellow after prolonged exposure to sunlight, depending on the length and intensity of exposure. Misc Information: 1.
