2 2 COURSE PRE-REQUISITES 1. Students should know how to use a Digital Camera to take a photo. 2. Students should have an address to send or login to web. 3. No Camera equipment is required in class; 4. However, They should 1. have a Home environment that is connected to the internet. 2. If possible, there environment should have either (wireless auxiliaries (printer (wireless or memory card reader), external drive, an HDMI streaming device) or a cable modern with wireless router or a secondary wireless router) so they can connect camera to internet

3 3 COURSE OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this course,the student should be able to: Introduction Implementation 1. Determine how much space is remaining on camera to take more photos. 2. Move photos from camera via a usb wire or memory card to a photo galley. 3. Use a wireless network to move photos off a camera. Configuration. Preparation and Prevention 1. Send photos via to other users. 2. Secure internet photos from theft or modification. 3. Select best digital file format for photo involved. Advanced movement and Utilization 1. Print photo using a photo printing web site. 2. Store photos on a photo sharing web site. 3. Modify large photos so that they can be moved over the internet.

19 19 DISADVANTAGES OF JPEG FILE FORMAT Disadvantages Compression can cause lower quality image when under 5 precision setting Recommendations You must set your fire wall and anti virus to scan incoming pictures Lopas compression is limited to 256 color standard not High definition quality. It storages as a 24 bit format PNG is its replacement for unlimited color distribution Jpeg in Europe is the major source of hive viruses in windows environment You must back-up your pictures either to a external USB hard drive or to cloud to protect them after they have been scanned either a photo archive or a photo-sharing site

Recommendations to protect your photos you use limit the number of web sites that you use to less than 5 Never put confidential images on internet that you don t want your family to see Always use pdf file format for security from tampering Make sure the sites require registration and passwords Use lossless compress options to reduce fragments and distorts Select the best compositions/ the best shots that you edit for clarity to save If you don t encrypt the photos, they can be stolen Always maintain a personal usb external archive of your photos off line

You should use I-Cloud to archive your apple photos Android tablets stop when you exceed 64 GB of photos on the sim cards You should use Drop Box to archive your apple photos Always download your pictures after vacations or trips to your home PC There are four types of photo Sharing sites Private archive sites as external storage such as Google drive or drop box with password protection Public archive sites where public can view pictures such as Picasso, Flicka, Social Networks archive facebook or twittert Confidential ecrypted archives which are also have registration and passwords

33 TO USE DROP BOX, YOU DRAG AND DROP FILES INTO A DROP BOX ON ANY DEVICE Than, go to the next device, and than you Drag and drop the files from drop box on that device into that the device s folder for that the type of media involved photos, music and e -books

34 HAVE AN EXTERNAL STORAGE SITE THAT IS PASSWORD PROTECTED To deal with large size, high density, HDR Photo sharing The safest way is to maintain a confidential off site external storage web site Where you have to authorize access to specific users who can then download the larger high density photos 34 The three major provider are by operating system Windows = Drop Box Apple IOS Unix/Linix = ICloud Android = Google Disk

35 35 TO USE I-CLOUD,YOU MUST HAVE AN I-PHONE OR I-PAD AND PAY APPLE A FEE FOR THE AMOUNT OF STORAGE YOU USE You must have apple activate the I-cloud app on your phone or IPAD, or both from that point on; I-cloud will automatically load your pictures to cloud storage pc Than, you have to install I-cloud app on your desktop or laptop PC, Apple will then down load your pictures to it if you request it. Hint: you shoud download them to an external drive as back-up Warning, you must remove the photos from camera or your device will fill up and stop ipads without added memory jam around 5000 photos
