The firm began as Beatty and Chadwick in February 1863, and has evolved through various firm names over the years. Researchers interested in the history of the firm should consult: Kyer, C. Ian. Ian Kyer, and stored in firm offices. Some records, such as those pertaining to Walter Williston and Hugh Rose, were donated to the firm by their family members. In January 2009, due to reduced office and storage space, Kyer was instructed to destroy or find another home for the material, and arrangements were then made for a donation of these records to the Archives of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Scope and content Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by members of the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP law firm and its predecessor firms.
