2 RULES 1.ENTRANTS The exhibition is open to all photographers, amateur and professional, worldwide. 2. PATRONAGE The Salon will be run under FIAP, PSA, CEF and FCF rules. 3.SECTIONS There are four sections for entering images: A. OPEN MONOCHROME (PID Mono) B. OPEN COLOUR (PID colour ) C. PHOTO TRAVEL PTD D. CREATIVE (PID colour) A maximum of 4 photographs per author may be submitted to each section. The format will be exclusively digital and the technique will be completely free. All images must have a unique title. Untitled and No title are unacceptable. DEFINITIONS A.1 PSA Open Monochrome There are no restrictions on subject matter for this open monochrome section. A monochrome image is defined as having varying shades of no more than one colour (various shades of that colour from very light to very dark) but it may be any single colour. Multi-toned images (various shades of two or more colours) and greyscale images with an added accent colour are not acceptable in Monochrome Class sections and must be entered in the Colour Class Sections. A.2 FIAP Open Monochrome Traditional Definition of Black and White (Monochrome). A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black and white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage. On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category; such a work requires colour reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.

3 B. PSA Open Colour and FIAP Open colour Traditional This open colour section accommodates images in colour C. PSA Photo Travel and FIAP Travel Traditional A Photo Travel image must express the feeling of a time and place, and portray a land, its distinctive features or culture in its natural state. There are no geographical limitations. Ultra close=ups which lose their identity, and studio type model shots are unacceptable. Pictures of people or objects must include distinguishable environment. Techniques that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. All adjustments must appear natural. Conversion to full monochrome is acceptable. Derivations, including infrared, are unacceptable. D.PSA and FIAP Creative There are no restrictions on subject matter for this open creative section. This section allows the photographer freedom to explore the possibilities of photographic art through the extensive manipulation of images and the combination of images, but the photographic content must predominate. An entrant may alter images either digitally or otherwise, and art work or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. Additional content or layers must be the original work of the entrant. Images created totally electronically (with no photo graphic origin) are specifically excluded. Black and White, Split Toning, Monochrome and Colour images are acceptable. 4.SIZE AND PRESENTATION Images must have JPEG format, maximum size 1920 pixels horizontal and 1080 pixels vertical, with a resolution of 300 dpi. In the event that the size was larger, it would be reduced automatically to adjust to the established size and the organization would not hold any responsibility for the final result. 5.ENTRY CONDITIONS The entries are exclusively in digital format and must be uploaded to our website where a registration form will be found. The entry fee is 25-30$ for any number of photographs submitted. Payment will be exclusively made via PayPal at after the registration form is filled in and the photos have been uploaded. Failure to meet the entry rules or payment requirements will result in the no acceptance of the entrant s work. Authors are only and exclusively responsible for ownership of their work and image rights.

4 Assuming that the files will be handled with special care, the organization doesn t take any responsibility for the damage or loss that they could suffer. The participants authorize AGRUPACIO FOROGRCA D IGUALADA to reproduce their work for promotional purposes of the contest as well as for the edition of the catalogue, regardless of the kind of format (print, CD, WEB,..) ; quoting the author s name. 6.AWARDS Award TROFEU PELL 2017 : a prize of 500 and the Blue Pin FIAP to the best author of the Salon. For the participant who has achieved the highest number of total acceptances of all his/her photos added together. Special Award Josep Pomés i Jorba and 300, to the best BACKLIGHT from all the photographs participating in the salon. 7.JURY The jury will consist of a panel of three well-known members recognised by the CONFEDERACION ESPAÑOLA DE FOTOGRA and the FEDERACIÓ CATALANA DE FOTOGRA. An entrant s four images will not be judged consecutively. They will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging in that section. Equipment of the judging: TV SONY BRAVIA KD55X8509C. Resolution: 3840x2160 pixels. The exhibition will display a selection of the admitted photos. Any unforeseen issues will be resolved by the organization committee. Participation in this exhibition implies full acceptance of the organization rules. Notification of the results will be sent by . All participants will have access to download the salon catalogue from our webside With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.
