However, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions. Entries must originate as Photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. All images must be original and may not incorporate elements, produced by anyone else. The organizer can use the exhibited works for reproduction in the catalogue and for promotion without paying any author's fee, and has the entrant s permission to do so. This may include low resolution posting on website. Entrants must be authors of the works they submit. IMPORTANT NOTICE: "With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIP to establish if these obey to FIP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIP; that FIP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.

2 If the exhibition determines before, during, or after the judging that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the exhibition reserves the right and discretion to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards. Fees may be forfeited in these circumstances. The decision of the jury and salon chairman is final and irrevocable, complaints will not be entertained. Results will be published online on the salon website. Catalogue will be in the form of electronic file, and will be available on the same website. SECTIONS There are six digital sections Open Colour Open Monochrome Photo Travel Photojournalism Street (PJ) Child (PJ) Each photo can be presented in only one section. Each participant may send maximum of 4 photographs to each section. IMAGE SPECIFICATIONS Entry can only be made through the online entry system on the website Sending of images via CD/DVD or other media, is not accepted. Entries are limited to not more than 4 images per section. Before uploading your entry into the system, please ensure the image format is as given below, else the process will not be successful. Each image should have a unique title. File Name should be same as Title. Only English alphabet and numerals are allowed. No special characters are permitted. Images without a title, or "No Title", will not be accepted. No Watermarks/Logos/Names on the images are permitted. 3 ENTRY FEE Entries will not be judged unless entry fee is paid within the closing date. Unpaid entries shall be removed from the system, and will not be recalled after the closing of the salon. Entry fee is mandatory for all participants. It is Rs. 700 regardless of the number of sections entered. The fee is to be paid via bank transfer only. No cash deposit accepted. 6 DEFINITIONS GENERAL: Entries must originate as photographs (image-capture of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and / or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright. Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. Creative is defined as altered reality. OPEN MONOCHROME: An image is considered to be monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no colour ( i.e. contains only shades of grey which can include pure black and pure white) OR it gives the impression of being grey scale image that has been toned in one colour across the entire image (e.g. example by Sepia, red, gold etc.) A grayscale or multi-coloured image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi toning or by the inclusion of spot colouring does not meet the definition of Monochrome and shall be classified as Colour work. PHOTO TRAVEL: A Photo Travel image expresses the characteristic features or culture of a land as they are found naturally. There are no geographic limitations. Images from events or activities arranged specifically for photography, or of subjects directed or hired for photography are not appropriate. Close up pictures of people or objects must include features that provide information about the environment. Techniques that add, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. The only allowable adjustments are removal of dust or digital noise, restoration of the appearance of the original scene, and complete conversion to greyscale monochrome. Other derivations, including infrared, are not permitted. All images must appear natural. PHOTOJOURNALISM: Photojournalism entries shall consist of images with informative content and emotional impact, reflecting the human presence in our world. The journalistic (story-telling) value of the image shall receive priority over pictorial quality. In the interest of credibility, images that misrepresent the truth, such as those from events or activities specifically arranged for photography or of subjects directed or hired for photography, are not eligible. Techniques that add, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. The only allowable modifications are removal of dust, scratches or digital noise, restoration of the existing appearance of the original scene, sharpening that is not obvious, and conversion to greyscale monochrome. Derivations, including infrared, are not eligible.
