1 KORYKOS nd INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION ORGANISER The International exhibition of art photography KORYKOS 2018 is exhibition of art photography organised by MOF Mersin Olba Photographic Association from Mersin Turkey KORYKOS 2018 is open to amateur and professional photographers from all over the world. Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright. An entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions. CATEGORIES/THEMES The Int. exhibition of art photography - KORYKOS 2018 has 4 sections, all digital. 1-DIGITAL: OPEN (COLOR) > DC 2-DIGITAL: OPEN (MONOCHROME) > DM 3-DIGITAL: PURITY (COLOR&MONOCHROME) > DS 4-DIGITAL: TRAVEL (COLOR&MONOCHROME) > DT Subject of International Korykos Photography Contest is Purity. The International Korykos Photography Contest with Purity subject is taking place with the support of Turkey's only brand that produces pure sunflower oil SAFYA. How do you catch the Pure moments with your lenses? How do you paint the Purity, where the Purity becomes visible? Some loves are Pure for example Like a mother's love for her child and a child s love for her mother. Nature is pure if untouched by human beings. It is pure with its flowers, insects, plateaux, trees, air, water Nature perseveres to remain pure. There are pure states of life, if you can see from the right angle. There are beauties that can stay pure and add flavour to our lives and there are also beauties we want to remain pure but sad to lose their purity. We never get enough to look, to live, to smell, to taste them. Some flavours are pure for example. like delicious food with pure flavours or that can remain pure just as they are cut off from the tree. In this contest, we wanted each objective to catch its own purity. We want to see the purity each eye sees different. You can catch Pure moments in a portrait, macro snapshot, fascinating landscape or in expression of deep feelings. You can share with us by photographing the purity you see or feel and you can take your place in Purity album with your photographs. 1 / 5

2 ENTRY FEE GENERAL: The entry fee is mandatory for all participants and is 20/25 USD for 4 categories. All participants must pay the entry fee. Turkish participants will pay 70 TL for 4 categories. The competition has a total of 4 (four) separate categories. Competitors can participate up to 4 (four) photos in each category. If you contact the salon chairman, you will take discount of 10% (for at least 10 person) If you are a member of Mersin Olba Association you do not need to pay entry fee. All participants must enter and korykos.olbafotograf.com to join the contest. They must accept the Conditions of Participation (entry rules). Participants must check in the FIAP accept box in the Entry form page. If you have any problem with the upload\submit of the photos please contact hulkimuradi@yahoo.com & olbayarisma@gmail.com & selmademirkol71@gmail.com. The problem will be fixed as soon as possible. The participants can use this address only if problems with the photo upload occur. You must not send photographs to this . If you send your photos to this , they will not be accepted. The awarded and accepted photos will be published on the web page. The awards, honorable mentions and special awards of the authors will be published on the contest site and on the TFSF web page: and will be included in the book of Almanac In case some of the images are not in accordance with the entry rules, they will be rejected and the eventual award will be withdrawn. The participants which submit images that are not theirs are violating the rules of TFSF. This will result with competition ban. This kind of situation will be also reported to FIAP. The photographers who are on the TFSF and FIAP Red Lists are not allowed to participate to the KORYKOS 2018 photo contest. Judges individually does not have to choose prizes and honorable mentions. This decision belongs entirely to the whole jury. With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non-compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations. All parts of the image have to be photographed by the author who is holding the copyright of all works submitted. In the general interest of the event, there production of the remitted works is allowed in the printed 2 / 5

3 or digital catalogue, except when expressly prohibited by the author. In this matter the rules about copyright have to be strictly followed. Under no circumstances the organizer is allowed to use the pictures handed in for other purposes. CALENDER OF SALON Starting date: : Closing date : / (TSI) Judge Meeting date : Notification date : Award ceremony & presentation: OLBA EVİ Sending of awards and web catalogue: December 10, UPLOAD INFORMATION DIGITAL SECTIONS: The photographs must be submitted in a jpg / jpeg format with a resolution of 300 dpi, and a maximum length (horizontally or vertically) of 1920 pixels and a file size of at least 1 Mb and a maximum of 4 Mb. We will use Epson Full HD high resolution projector for the jury presentation. Open categories are real open. If you prefer you can use Photoshop and manipulation. If you want put your creative photos. NAMING THE FILES Name of the file must be maximum 35 characters. English letters and underscore (_) can be used. Turkish characters ı, ö, ü, ç, ğ, ş must not be used. All the characters except the ones define section must be lower case. A black & white photograph which transitions to light grey (white) from dark grey (black) is considered a monochrome photo with various grey tones. A photo that is made entirely with a single color in black and white tones is also considered a monochrome and admitted in the black and white category; such a work can be reconstructed as black and white for the FIAP competition catalogue. Conversely, a black and white photo with partial toning or has added an additional color (polychrome) becomes a color work and is included in the color photograph category. A Photo Travel image expresses the characteristic features or culture of a land as they are found naturally. There are no geographic limitations. Images from events or activities arranged specifically for photography, or of subjects directed or hired for photography are not appropriate. Close up pictures of people or objects must include features that provide information about the environment. Techniques that add, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. The only allowable 4 / 5

5 adjustments are removal of dust or digital noise, restoration of the appearance of the original scene, and complete conversion to greyscale monochrome. Other derivations, including infrared, are not permitted. All allowed adjustments must appear natural. 5 / 5
