2 Ingrid chooses her guests with enormous care, including both upcoming talent and established names. The selected photographers are invariably characterised by their great artistic sensitivity and personal expression. Every exhibition she is showing unique pieces so that we can uplevel the photography to an unique piece of art. Just like buying your exclusive painting, you can buy a unique photograph. She likes to work with artists that are creative in multiple fields. Ingrid is working national and international and will explore the borders of photography. 2 She will open for a second time an expo in NY (November). 5 NK is a Belgian photographer and an internationally renowned DOP (Director of Photography). His art work is an extension of the original aesthetic of his films. 5 Nicolas Karakatsanis Born in Antwerp in 1977, NK studied at Sint-Lukas Brussels ( film, ). In 2003 he left for Berlin for a work placement in a postproduction company. That same year, at the request of friends of his who were also studying film, he started to work as DOP (Director of Photography) on their student short film projects. This marks the start of his career as a DOP for film and advertising.

6 6 At the same time NK used his talent as a photographer and a DOP for his own personal artistic projects. He worked a lot in the music world, making video clips or taking photos on set. On another level he also produced the album of the rock group, Drums are for parades (releasing an EP and a full album on his label, Skeleton Ears) and also helped produce the first album of the group, Hickey Underworld. From 2004 onwards he worked with the painter Michael Borremans, creating artistic videos. In 2005, together with his brother, Dimitri, he published the book, Der Verfall, a graphic overview of the work of the Antwerp artist, Gerard Leysen. In 2006 he made his first feature film, Small Gods, which he co-produced with his brother, who also directed it. The film was selected for the Venice Film Festival. He first exhibited his photos with Toon Aert, at the A.L.I.C.E. Gallery in From 2008 onwards he started publishing his photos on the blog, «The Skeleton Herald». In 2010 he had his second exhibition at A.L.I.C.E. In 2012, the Belgian film, Rundskop, by director Michael Roskam, on which NK collaborated as DOP, was nominated as a contender for the Oscar for the best foreign film. And he just filmed in NY Animal Rescue with Michael Roskam, Tom Hardy, Matthias Schoenaerts and James Gandolfini

18 18 Warhol s work was photo based. And as he told in an interview in 1963, The reason I m painting this way is because I want to be a machine. In Warhol s photography he became the machine. His photographs present an opportunity not only to see how much he experimented with medium and form, but to understand the vast range of his interests from the biggest stars to the handsomest boys to the most mundane objects. Most surprisingly, in the world of multiples that was so much Andy s world and vision, the photographs are nearly always unique. Whether taken in a photo booth, or with a Polaroid, or printed from 35mm negatives, Warhol never editioned or re-printed his photographs.
