Several restorations since the creation of this stained glass window, one of which was in 1898 by Bonnot. 8 Examination of the object (if possible with microscope) Description of condition concerning glass, paint, lead, putty, coating, deposits; scrutinizing internal and external surface External face: Glass: hole and crater alterations, uniform weathering Paint: cold painting on some pieces Lead: good condition Putty: dry and waterproof Coating: none Deposits: white pulverulent deposit (calcite, from putty alteration). Internal face: The paints have been consolidated with Viacryl on the internal surface. The application has been made with a brush on the glass paint (weathered only). Excess of Viacryl has been removed just after application on all the pieces. It is hard to see it, but after a light cleaning the grisaille is brilliant under binocular. Glass: less deteriorated than external face. Departure of the surface of the glass on some areas, whether under the grisaille or not. Paint: ancient painting with thick lines and wash drawing. Brown-red and black painting. Lead: good condition Putty: dry and waterproof Consolidant: hardly visible, but no sign of alteration of the grisaille Deposits: white (brownish) deposit on most of the pieces distemper?
