2 Stitchitize Intro Embroidery Design Service Stitchitize is a professional design studio that has produced over 50,000 embroidered designs since Stitchitize is the design development division of a family business started by Wendy and George Conquergood that has now grown to over 20 employees. Their sons, Trevor and Carl, and daughter Andrea, have all become involved in the company over the years. Trevor, the manager of Stitchitize Embroidery Design Service, produces Club Stitchitize, and the Learning Studio. Carl is the design manager of Custom Digitizing, producing embroidery designs for consumers and corporate clients alike. Stitchitize has a design team of 10 people all working full-time on creating embroidery designs. The information exchange between our artists and designers is incredible, promoting new ideas all the time. Since we all look at things in life from different perspectives, this information exchange is valuable to the development of a well rounded digitizer. This combined knowledge of embroidery design creation is now available online through the Embroidery Design Learning Studio, a separate site with paid membership. Club Stitchitize, the customer appreciation part of our website, combines free designs with photos of our family. Trevor travels extensively to teach the Stitchitize Embroidery Design Road Show, a class about the art of digitizing, check our site for a class near you. Please visit our website to learn more about the Stitchitize Embroidery Design Service. How To Use This Product - There is nothing to install! - Choose a design from this catalogue. Note the design number, i.e. Mh Insert CD. - The folder structure will appear as shown: Printable Pages Help.pdf Help.txt License terms.txt - Locate the embroidery design in desired format under the Embroidery Designs folder. - Open the embroidery design and prepare to sew using your usual method/ software. - View/Print the design sewing instructions in.html format from the Printable Pages folder. - A full-colour 8.5 x 11 catalogue can be found and printed from the Printable Pages folder. Due to file size, it is recommended that you save this file to your computer. Right-click on catalogue.pdf Left-click on save target as from drop-down menu Save to a folder on your computer hard drive Open from computer using Acrobat Reader (free version available at - Special technique instructions such as Applique and Macro Hoop can be found and printed from the Printable Pages folder. Formats:.jef (Elna).emb (Wilcom Resizeable) In order to resize designs from this collection, visit Wilcom and download free software. MH046 MH047 MH048 MH049 MH051 MH052 MH053 MH054 MH050 MH055 The MacroHoop dimensions are 28cm H x 20cm W (11 x 7.9 ). This equates to two 20cm x 20cm square hoops with a 12cm (4.7") overlap. There are two ways to get the MacroHoop designs from this CD onto your machine and ready to sew. 1. Elna Customizer EX If you have Elna Customizer EX installed on your computer, the MacroHoop designs can be opened by clicking on the Open folder icon. MH056 MH057 MH058 MH059 MH060 Search your computer for the CD drive, locate the design that you want to sew and open it on your Customizer screen. The design can be saved to an ATA PC card or sent directly to your machine MH061 MH062 MH063 MH064 MH Drag and Drop If Elna Customizer EX is not available for use, the MacroHoop designs can be saved to your ATA PC card by locating and opening the CD in Windows Explorer. Click, Hold and Drag the design to the EMB folder on your card. MH066 MH067 MH068 MH069 MH071 MH072 MH073 MH074 MH070 MH075 SEWING WITH MACROHOOP Hooping for the MacroHoop requires extra stability due to the larger sewing field. It is recommended that the fabric be prepared for embroidery with iron-on fusible larger than the hoop area OR a medium weight cut-away stabilizer (backing) be hooped with the fabric, together in the hoop. In addition, a layer of medium weight tearaway can be slid under the hoop for optimum stabilization of fabric and stitches. MH076 MH077 MH078 MH079 MH080 Once the designs are ready to sew and the fabric is prepared and hooped in the MacroHoop, shift the frame to position 1 and attach to machine. Place the plastic template (provided with the hoop) into the six notches on the inner hoop ring. Use the four "jog" keys on the screen: MH081 MH082 MH083 MH084 MH085

4 Move the hoop until the needle passes through the Exact Center of the "Starting Point" hole in the template. Remove the plastic template and start sewing the design. Follow the colour stops to sew the entire first design. When it is complete you will be prompted to "lift presser foot and shift frame". MA - MACROHOOP DESIGNS cont. MH006 MH007 MH008 MH009 MH010 Detach the hoop from the machine and shift the frame to position 2 and reattach to machine. Be sure to follow the same steps with the plastic template (needle passing through exact center of starting point) for the second side of the design. This will ensure that both sides will line up correctly. MH011 MH012 MH013 MH014 MH015 MH016 MH017 MH018 MH019 MH020 Remove the plastic template and start sewing the design. Follow the colour stops to sew the entire second design. Please Note: When reading this CD from the Elna external CD-ROM drive, MacroHoop designs will display and sew as one complete design. The machine may not indicate when to Shift Frame. In order to Shift Frame to hoop position #2 at the correct stop in the design, you will need to follow the sewing sequence for the design found in the "Printable Pages" folder under "Sewing Sequences". Shift Frame to position #2 at Side Two as indicated on the sewing sequence.
