Material: Needles: 6 mm / US10 / UK4 Wool used for this model: 4 balls of Phildar «Phil Looping» jean color (ap. 163 m (178 yds) /skein) but you can use any bulky yarn (12 ply) : Approximately 652 meters of yarn (715 yds) or any length to fit the gauge (3.5 stitches for an inch) GAUGE: Finished size of the blanket : 95 x 70 cm (37.5 * 27.5 inches) Needle US10 in stockinette stitch: 4 inches (10 cm) -> 15 sts x 25 Rows

2 STITCHES GLOSSARY: For Neat Edges, Edge stitch (Es): All right sides (RS), sweep the first stitch purlwise WITHOUT KNITTING IT and slip thread to the back to continue. Seed Stitch: The knit and purl stitches are alternated for a staggered, lightly bumpy texture. 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch across a row, and then they are alternated every other row by knitting the purl stitches and purling the knit stitches. Row 1 (rs): *k1, p1 repeat from * across Row 2 (ws): *p1, k1- repeat from * across Repeat Row 1 and 2 for stars pattern Stockinette Stitch: Row 1 (rs): knit to the end Row 2 (ws): ws: purl to the end Repeat Row 1 and 2 for stars pattern Seed Stitch Star chart (SSSC): Read the chart backward and forward from right to left Line 1 = knit, Line 2 = purl, Line 3 = knit, Line 4 = purl. 3 CONSTRUCTION: Cast on 113 Stitches Begin Pattern working 8 rows with seed stitches : o Row 1 (rs): Ess1*k1, p1 repeat from * across, ESk1 o Row 2 (ws): Ess1*p1, k1- repeat from * across, ESk1 o Repeat rows 1 & 2, 3 times more Knit 4 rows in stockinette with 6 sts in seed stitch for the blanket edge. o Row 9: Ess1, (k1, p1) *3, k99, (k1, p1) *3, Esk1. o Row 10: Ess1, (p1, k1) * 3, p99, (p1, k1) * 3, Esk1. o Row 11: Repeat the first row. o Row 12: Repeat the second row. Row 13 (rs facing) : o Ess1, (k1, p1) *3, k2, SSSC19 (Seed Stitch Star chart from the bottom right), k19, SSSC19, k19, SSSC19, k2, (k1, p1) *3, Esk1. Row 14 (ws facing) : o Ess1, (p1, k1) * 3, p2, SSSC19, p19, SSSC19, p19, SSSC19, p2, (p1, k1) * 3, Esk1. Repeat rows 13 & 14 until you ve worked 7 stars rows (see blanket chart).
