Sew (1) 2 x 11 Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 9 ½ square to make (1) lock One (Fig. 1). 4 Page 2 2. Sew (1) 2 ¼ x 6 Fabric strip to each side of (1) 6 Fabric I block. Sew (1) 2 ¼ x 9 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric I block to make (1) lock Two (Fig. 2). Sew (1) 1 x 5 Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric C square to make (1) Unit 1 block (Fig. 3). Repeat to make (6) Unit 1 blocks total. 4. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 1 block to make (1) lock Three (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (6) lock Threes total. Sew (3) lock Ones and (2) lock Threes together, alternating them, to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Five. 8. Sew (3) lock Fours and (2) lock Ones together, alternating them, to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Six. 9. Sew (1) lock One, (1) lock Three, (1) lock Two, (1) lock Three and (1) lock One together in that order to make Row Three. 10. Sew (3) lock Fours and (2) lock Twos together, alternating them, to make Row Four. 11. Sew the (6) rows together in numerical order to make the Center lock. 12. Sew (1) 2 x 54 ½ Fabric strip to each side of the Center lock. Sew (1) 2 x 48 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center lock. 13. Sew (1) 5 ½ x 57 ½ Fabric strip to each side of the Center lock. Sew (1) 5 ½ Fabric square to each end of (1) 5 ½ x 48 ½ Fabric strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center lock to make the quilt top. 14. ayer and quilt as desired. 15.
