Pin and sew one white 2¼ x 4½ finished rectangle and one blue chisel unit together as shown. Press seam toward the white rectangle. Make 70 white rectangle quarter block units. 3. Pin and sew one red 2¼ x 4½ finished rectangle and one grey 2¼ x 4½ finished rectangle together as shown. Press seam toward the grey rectangle. Make 70 grey rectangle quarter block units. 4. Lay out two white rectangle quarter block units and two grey rectangle quarter block units as shown. 5. Pin and sew into half blocks. Press seams toward grey rectangle quarter block units. Make two half blocks. 6. Pin and sew half blocks together to complete the block. Press seam open. Make 35 blocks.

7. Lay out blocks in seven rows of five using the quilt diagram as a reference. 8. Pin and sew seven rows. Press seams in alternating directions for each row. 9. Pin and sew seven row units together.
