2 SAC LITE SAC LITE SAC Lite, developed by INDRA, is the more efficient and safer way to give instructors support in shooting and tactical operations training. Introduction SAC Lite is a portable shooting simulator which improves training for shooting instruction through a virtual performance of a Shooting Field and a Shooting Gallery, in wich all parameters are configurable, such as the kind of target, shooting distance, target movement and the light configuration. The SAC Lite simulator also allows executing individual as well as group tactical training through missions created by the instructor in 3D-scenarios. Trainees encounter friendly and hostile figures providing multiple outcomes of each exercise. Based on the asessment configuration, trainees are qualified by an analysis of the exercise summary. 3 Main Components 1. Instructor operating station The instructor controls the simulator through an easy-to-use PDA with tactile interface. 2. Screen Flat screen onto which virtual scenarios are projected. 3. PC Rack Portable Server which controls the simulator 4. Gladius (optional) Hostile fire device. 5. Camera (optional) Record and play system. 6. Joystick (optional) Allows moving the point of view, the Gladius and the camera. 7. Recharge system (optional) It allows recharging several magazines simultaneously Weapons Simulation This weapon-simulation-system permits quick and easy conversion of a regular arm into an effective training weapon, with only minimal mechanical changes. These weapons provide the capability of wireless monitoring and the possibility of reproducing some malfunctions when the instructor desires. The choice of weapons is wide: Beretta 92, Beretta 96, Glock 17, Glock 19, Llama 82, H&K USP Compact, H&K USP Standar, as well as rifles, light and heavy machine guns, among others. The system, once placed into the weapon, works independently, without any external connection. The weapons emulate real recoil thanks to the CO2-charge in the simulated magazine. SECURITY SYSTEMS

4 Functionalities To improve the shot accuracy, SAC Lite provides some virtual galleries and a virtual shooting field, having different dimensions and characteristics and different positions for shooting simultaneously. A ballistic software calculates the projectile trajectory depending on wind, distance to the target and caliber of the weapon used, providing maximal accuracy in shot calculation. The instructor can choose among a great variety of movements for the targets. Shooting Exercises SAC Lite allows carrying out many exercises which improve the shot accuracy od the shot and the automation of movements, such as the instinctive training exercises (shoot/don t shoot or geometric shapes of different colors). Tactical Exercises The simulator allows creating tactical exercises in civilian and military environments. The scenarios allow access to the buildings. Visual System An up-to-date visual system with the capacity of reproducing weather, light and special effects, different levels of details with high-resolution textures, ephemeral models (sun, moon, 9000 stars), sparkle effects, smoke etc. SECURITY SYSTEMS

5 Night Vision SAC Lite has the technology to simulate night vision, requiring trainees to execute exercises wearing NVG glasses. SAC Lite has the capability to emulate thermical camera effects and LLTV with local heat source effects and the transference by convection, halos, moon phases, weapons, environmental conditions and dynamic shadows Tactical Exercises Generator The simulator lightens the instructor s load when it comes to adapting tactical exercises to training needs. Instructors create their own exercises, choosing the different scenarios and weather, placing characters and vehicles on the map, configuring weapons and the behavior of each figure and taking the necessary steps to properly develop the exercise. Characters and Vehicles Library SAC Lite owns character and vehicle libraries, both civilian and military. The characters have a great number of movements which confer realism to the tactical exercises. The vehicles can experience several degrees of damage. Portability Every component of SAC Lite has been designed to be easily portable and to be installed in a minimum time and in a very limited space by only one person. SECURITY SYSTEMS
