2 Preliminary note Check wear condition and damage to the cutting edge. Please pay attention to the grinding temperature because high grinding temperatures cause a grinding crack or loss of hardness. primary relief face method of VA-PDS-CB and general drills (Conical point, 4 facet point) 140 grinding (shown as below diagram) is used for VA-PDS-CB. pass is same as that for grinding of facet point (first relief face of 4 facet point). 3 Position and method (primary relief face) Set the drill as the line connecting the shoulder of both sides is aligned horizontally (Fig. 1). 2. Rotate the drill counter clockwise 20 when viewed from the top (Fig. 1).
