4 CUTTING I BRILLANT 3D Brillant 3D 5-axis-cutting robot Some separation processes require taking of several samples from a specimen and a corresponding number of cuts in different angular positions. This often means an additional expense for the re-clamping of the sample and possibly the use of additional clamping tools. BRILLANT 3D Cuts in different positions automatically without re-clamping FOR HIGHEST DEMANDS ON CUTTING SPACE AND OPTIONS The new Brillant 3D is equipped with 5 axis (X-, Y-, Z-, D-, E-axis). This allows positioning and cutting of the sample in nearly all arbitrary positions to the cut-off wheel. No expensive instructions needed for taking out samples Precise positioning of cuts Reduction of clamping tools Minimization of cutting errors Full automation Time saving Variable cutting angles and positions The device has all the characteristics of the Brillant 275 universal wet-cutting machine and meets high demands on space and cutting operations with its innovative concept. The automatic horizontal table (X-axis) and cutting wheel movement (Y-axis) can reach up to 80 mm/sec. through highly dynamic axis drive in rapid run. Compact program sequences for automatic processes are easy to compile by Touchscreen-control. Parallel setting of wheel guard during vertical cutting sequences increases the cutting capacity. A large sliding and side door with safety lock during wheel movement provides best access to the large machine table with longitudinal and cross T-slots. Automatic central lubrication and recirculation cooling unit are integrated into the robust powder-coated aluminium body of the machine. The Multi-Position process (MPP) allows cutting at different positions in just one sequence. Setting and approaching of cutting positions is made easy and comfortable with the Teach-In- Function. Precisely positioned cuts without re-clamping the specimen eliminate complicated instructions to describe the sampling process, reduce the number of clamping tools and minimize cutting errors. Full automation makes the entire process effective and efficient. Page 04 material
5 CUTTING I BRILLANT 3D COMFORTABLE OPERATION Touchscreen display for the ATM-Software control is easy to read thanks to smart phone technology and even easier to operate. Compact program sequences are easy to compile and therefore enable automated, password-secured program sequences. Update and back-up possible via USB. 7 GRINDING & POLISHING I SAPHIR X-CHANGE Saphir X-Change Grinding and polishing robot THE SAPHIR X-CHANGE CONSISTS OF FOLLOWING STATIONS: Grinding & polishing station with Vacu-Jet-System, working wheel cooling/basin rinsing Integrated 6x-dosing unit for different suspen sions and lubricants Fully integrated into the System Lab 2.0, it binds together several metres of standard equipment for grinding and polishing in one unit. Grinding and polishing head with central pressure Changer with stack for 16 grinding and polishing medias COMPACT AND EFFICIENT Saphir X-Change binds together a length of several metres of standard equipment for grinding and polishing in one unit. A grinding and polishing station with integrated settling tank as well as an ultrasonic & cleaning station reduce preparation time and provide an efficient work process with reproducible results. The process is automated by intuitive touchscreen-controls. During the cleaning cycle the media changer automatically chooses and changes between up to 16 different grinding & polishing medias. Thanks to material removal measurement the removal height can be set within 0.1 mm accuracy. All parameters can be adjusted directly during the process. Thanks to touchscreen controls the base unit can be operated very comfortably. Up to 200 programs can be programmed intuitively, stored, accessed and protected per password. The scan function displays the current & voltage curve of a material. The optimum values for a polishing or etching process can be transfered directly from this diagram or adjusted manually. During the process, while monitoring the electrolyte temperature, the voltage and current curve is displayed graphically at the same time. The ATM touchscreen interface allows intuitive operation even when wearing gloves. The separation of polishing and etching unit enables use in lab fume cupboard Handling of the polishing and etching unit is faciliated significantly by the interchangeable 1-liter electrolytic tanks. Different electrolytes can be changed easily and stored closed with lid. A washing program cleans the unit through a container of water. KRISTALL NEW Page 08 material

The robust basic unit with vibration-damped cast aluminium body and high load-bearing Carat table can be equipped optimally to customized requirements with our own software modules and the Carat-clamping system. INTUITIVE OPERATION Software has been developed to accommodate either touch or mouse in a 64-bit-Version (WIN 7/8/10). Carat sample holder with Easy-clamping system FULLY AUTOMATIC HARDNESS TESTING The force transducer with microprocessor-controlled force regulation covers a loading range from N with electronically-controlled load application. Outcomes can be issued individually in a dynamic report generator with value tables and hardness sequence curves. Carat software, designed by ATM is inspired by customers demands and makes processes efficient and reproducible. Carat Collect (image capturing), Select (measuring module) and Connect (report generator) are supported by additional modules as freehand measuring and weld module. This device is equipped with Köhlersche illumination to provide optimum picture quality. Connecting to QDAS and SQL is possible.
