2 When you look upon this collection the ancient world is speaking to you. The arcane intones hang in the air amidst swirling smoky spirals. The fires carve silhouettes against the dusky heavens and the circling ravens cry. Like the treasury to a long forgotten civilization this collection showcases Amy s most complete work to-date. A lifetime of training and process development, as well as, a six-year mentorship of her husband Tanner has cumulated into this collection. Each look represents a character with a story behind it. These twelve original looks represent the realization of a life-long dream of Amy s: to have her wearable artwork worn and shown at a runway event. The collection will not end with these pieces but instead will Continue to be developed following this showing. Limited edition wireworks, one of Amy s signature creations, forgings (artistically black smithed pieces), purses, and more will be released at a later date. Amy and Tanner have no formal art or craft training and are largely self-taught developing their own techniques, tools and patterns. Amy started selling her metal artwork, home decor and wire sculptural jewelry in In 2010 she added handmade leather journals and leather portfolios to her line of work. In 2013 she began to focus more on metal jewelry, accessories and wearable art. With Tanner s involvement in the creation to meet demands from increased sales and art shows. Tanner specializes now in etching of the metal and hand finishing of the leather items. Each metal piece is hand created without moulds in our studio using precious metals and the highest quality brass and copper. Working with sheet metal and wire Amy and Tanner use traditional and modern metal smithing and blacksmithing techniques to form each piece. Their leather work is also created using a mixture of modern and traditional techniques. The leather is ethically sourced as a by product of the farming industry and is tanned using environmentally safe vegetable and tree bark tannins.
