6 the team the team Alex Smith Chris Sommers ALEX SMITH Alex was born and raised in Telluride. Attending Telluride High School, Alex was an avid ski racer, hockey and soccer player. After high school Alex attended Pitzer College, of the Claremont Consortium of Colleges in Claremont, California. Graduating in 2007 with a degree in Media Studies, Alex pursued a career in the field of television production in Los Angeles. After working for four years for Warner Brothers Television, Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox, a move back to the mountains was inevitable. Upon receiving his real estate license, Alex joined TD Smith (his father) and Chris Sommers as an associate broker. Having grown up in Telluride, Alex has built many life-long relationships with business owners and prominent individuals within this close knit community and has an intimate knowledge of the workings of the Telluride regional resort. TD SMITH Embarking on his Telluride real estate career in 1971, TD Smith has passionately participated, first in the rebirth and development of Historic Telluride, then subsequently in 1981 as a co-founder of Telluride Real Estate Corp. with the Telluride Ski and Golf Company. As a co-owner of the marketing arm of the Telluride Mountain Village s master developer, TD had a vital and inceptive influence behind the Village s beginnings, as well as many other regional developments in which he was involved as broker or principal. TD s excellent reputation in the industry was recently recognized by his peers when the Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed upon him. He is a graduate of Purdue University.
