3 Board of Directors Dato Seri Dr Mohd Ajib Anuar (Chairman) Dato Seri Dr Mohd Ajib Anuar has more than 43 years of international experience and expertise in the mineral resource industry, particularly in the global tin sector. He holds the professional qualification of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. He currently serves as the President of the Malaysian Chamber of Mines, Chairman of the ASEAN Federation of Mining Associations (AFMA), Chairman of The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) and Chairman of the Tin Industry (Research and Development) Board. He is also a non-executive director of Rahman Hydraulic Tin Sdn Bhd (Malaysia s long established and largest operating open-pit tin mine), an independent director of ITRI Ltd, UK (the global tin industry association) and a member of the Tin Committee of the London Metal Exchange. From 1994 to 2013, he was the Group CEO and Executive Director of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (MSC), one of the world s leading integrated producers of tin metal and tin-based products and a global leader in custom tin smelting. Prior to his appointment as Group CEO of MSC in 1994, Dato Seri Dr Mohd Ajib spent more than 23 years in senior positions at Malaysia Mining Corporation Berhad (now MMC Corporation Berhad), the world s largest tin mining group in the 1970s and early 1980s. He was a founding member of ITRI Ltd and served two terms as its President (2002 to 2006 and 2012 to 2014). He also served as Chairman of the Malaysian Futures Clearing Corporation (1990 to 1993) and Deputy Chairman of the Kuala Lumpur Commodity Exchange (1988 to 1993). Dato Yunus Abd. Razak (Director/Consulting Engineering Geologist) Dato Yunus Abd Razak is a qualified professional engineering geologist with an MSc degree from the University of London. He served for over 36 years in the Minerals and Geoscience Department (JMG) and became its longest serving Director-General. During his tenure, he helped enact the Geologists Act 2008 and was appointed first Chairman of the Board of Geologists, a post which he still holds today. He is also the current President of the Institute of Geology Malaysia (IGM), a post that he has held for more than 10 years, and was formerly President of the Geological Society of Malaysia. In Malaysia, Dato Yunus had served on the Tin Industry (Research and Development) Board, National Mineral Council, National Land Council, National Water Resources Council and National Geoheritage Committee, and was Chairman of the Malaysian National Committee for International Geoscience Programme (IGCP) for 10 years. At the international level, he was Malaysia s permanent representative to the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programme in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP) and later served as its Chairman for three years. He had also served as Head of Delegation to the International Geological Congress (IGC), International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS), ASEAN Senior Official Meetings on Mineral and APEC Meetings. Dato Yunus was personally involved in several major infrastructure projects, including the Meru-Menora tunnel, Highland Towers investigation and geological foundation for Putrajaya Administrative Centre.

4 Haji Muhamad Nor Muhamad (Independent Non-Executive Director) Haji Muhamad Nor Muhamad is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), UK, and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, Malaysia (MAICSA). He is currently Executive Director of the Malaysian Chamber of Mines, a position he has held since He is concurrently Secretary of the Tin Industry (Research and Development) Board, Company Secretary of The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) and Secretary General of the ASEAN Federation of Mining Associations (AFMA). In the early 1980s, he was seconded to serve for four years as Director of the Malaysian Tin Bureau in Washington DC, USA, acting as the listening post and eyes-and-ears for Malaysia s tin industry, which was then the world s largest tin producer, to monitor actions and activities affecting tin that were taking place in the USA, which then was the world s largest tin consumer and holding a substantial amount of tin in its strategic stockpile. Haji Muhamad Nor has been actively engaged in promoting domestic, regional and international mineral industry development, and has acted as Industry Advisor to the Malaysian government delegation on numerous occasions and at international forums and meetings on matters related to minerals. Through his long association with the mineral industry, he has established strong linkages and built extensive networks with government agencies and private sector organisations, not only in Malaysia but also regionally and internationally. Teoh Lay Hock (Director/Consulting Geologist) Teoh Lay Hock is a Geological and Mineral Business Consultant specialising in mineral resource development and mineral economics. He has a First Class honours degree in geology and geochemistry from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and Masters with Distinction from Imperial College, University of London, UK. He also holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. Upon graduation, he worked for 24 years with the Geological Survey of Malaysia (now merged with the Mines Department to form the Minerals and Geoscience Department) before joining the private sector. There, he specialised in mineral exploration, mineral economics and commodity research as well as mineral resource development. In the subsequent 17 years in the private sector, Teoh was involved in mining, mineral exploration, mineral trading and mineral-based manufacturing. He retired from full time employment in 2008 as Executive Director of Nihon Superior (M) Sdn Bhd, one of the world s leading solder manufacturers. Currently, he serves as the Technical Consultant for the Malaysian Chamber of Mines and the Tin Industry (Research and Development) Board. As a freelance consultant, he has also undertaken and completed projects for The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market, Academy of Sciences Malaysia and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, as well as several private sector mineral exploration and mining companies.

5 Seet Chin Peng (Director/Consulting Hydrogeologist) Seet Chin Peng has 38 years of experience in mineral exploration, groundwater and mineral database. A registered professional geologist, he sits on the Board of Geologists Malaysia and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Geology Malaysia, previously serving as its Secretary and Vice-President. His first 30 years of working was with the government of Malaysia in the Minerals and Geoscience Department where he headed various mineral, groundwater and mineral database projects before retiring as the Director of Mineral Information Management. His accomplishments during his time there include the geological mapping of the Gunung Tahan area in Pahang, copper and gold exploration for the extension of the Mamut Mine in Sabah and the development of the GIS mineral database for the Minerals and Geoscience Department. Since his retirement from civil service, Seet has been working as a consultant to the government and private sectors on projects involving rare earths, industrial minerals and groundwater. He was previously the Supervising Hydrogeologist in a Sime Darby groundwater project in Perak and is currently a Consulting Hydrogeologist to two groundwater companies in Malaysia and a Consulting Geologist to a public listed company in Mongolia. Kamarudin Abd Karim (Director/Consulting Mining Engineer) Kamarudin Abd Karim is a practising Mining Engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia, Professional Engineer (in the discipline of mining) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and Gas Engineer registered with the Energy Commission. He started his career with Associated Mines Sdn Bhd (AM), which was later absorbed into Pernas Charter Management Sdn Bhd (PCM). AM was the mine management arm of Charter Consolidated Ltd that provided mine management to five mining companies, which in the mid-1970s operated 12 dredges and one opencast mine, whilst PCM was the mine management entity that managed Malaysia Mining Corporation Bhd s mining companies, which in the mid-1980s operated 21 dredges and one opencast mine. He served a total of 25 years with AM/PCM where he rose from supervisory positions to Mine Manager, Area Manager and finally General Manager of Mining Operations and Exploration. Kamarudin specialises in mine evaluation, mine planning, mining operation and mining-related environmental management as well as mining and mineral legislation. He is currently serving as Consultant to several mining and quarrying companies.
