Surya is a Chartered Accountant from India and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors), Kolkata University, having over 30 years experience in Banking and Finance, primarily in South East Asia and the Far East with major international banks covering various CFO roles in geographic and business structures across Wholesale Banking, Retail and Wealth Management. He is a member of the IFRS Advisory Council that supports the IASB and the IFRS Committee Foundation and a past member of the Audit Committee for the Infocomm Development Authority in Singapore and a current director in Emirates NBD Properties Emirates Money Consumer Finance, Tanfeeth LLC, Network International and Emirates NBD Egypt. Dr. Mahmoud Abdalaal CEO, aafaq Islamic Finance Dr. Mahmoud, is a dynamic and professionally qualified personality, holding a PHD in Islamic Finance and a Doctorate in Business Administration. Dr. Mahmoud is a fellow member of many esteemed accounting bodies and he is the chairman of the CPA - Islamic Board and a member of the Board of Regents of the ICPAP (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan). Dr. Mahmoud's esteemed career has provided him with a wealth of experience in handling high end aspects of accounting and financial management together with strong strategic thinking. These skills enable him to formulate and achieve long term financial objectives. Andrew Robinson Consultant and ex-partner, KPMG Andrew worked for KPMG since 1984 in Bermuda, Muscat and more recently for the past 14 years in the Dubai office. Before his recent retirement from KPMG he was an accredited International Financial Reporting Standards reviewing partner and US GAAP reviewing partner. Andrew is more recently providing private consultation and is experienced in offering a broad range of audit, tax and business advisory services to wide range of family business, government, public and international clients in the Middle East. His primary responsibility at KPMG was the provision of audit services to KPMG regional clients and has substantial experience in working with Gulf Cooperation Council (G.C.C.) states, providing advice on acquisition, effective management reporting and valuation throughout the region. His hobbies include golf and experiencing different cultures through international travel. Rajesh Pareek CFO, DIFC Authority, Dubai Rajesh is the Chief Financial Officer of DIFC Authority overseeing the financial performance of the DIFC Authority and other entities. Rajesh is responsible for overseeing the entire financial spectrum from strategic financial planning through to execution for these entities, while adhering to DIFC's values of transparency, efficiency and integrity. Rajesh implements financial best practices and industry standards in the Centre, including the development, management and monitoring of the Centre-wide revenue cycle. Vikas Jain Head of Operations, Thomson Reuters MENA Vikas is currently Head of Operations for Thomson Reuters Middle East and North Africa, and was appointed in July In his previous role, Vikas led successful execution of multiple acquisitions for Thomson Reuters in his role as Head of Business Development based in New York, USA. Vikas started with Thomson Reuters in India in Nov 2006 and has held various roles in Strategy and Business Development functions. Vikas has worked across multiple geographies and his functional experience spans across Finance, Operations, Marketing and Sales. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Vikas has worked in leading multi-nationals such as IBM and SAP. Vikas has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM, Bangalore) and received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur in India in 2001.

Andrew then joined 20:20 Mobile in 2002 as Financial Controller of 20:20 Logistics. After positions held in the UK of; Associate Director of Finance, Commercial Manager and Treasury Manager, Andrew was appointed Finance Director - Middle East in Andrew has now returned to the hospitality industry and after two years working with the UAE Almulla family as the CFO of Abjar Hotels International, Andrew is now the Vice President Finance Africa for Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts. He is qualified ACMA and CGMA and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Economics from Reading University. Andrew enjoys skiing, music and spending time with his family and is also on the Steering Committee of the MECA CFO Alliance in the UAE. Jawad Khan Director, PWC Jawad has 15 years of experience in raising; refinancing; and restructuring debt for clients in Europe and Middle East. He currently leads the PwC Debt & Capital Advisory team in the MENA region, advising and raising funds for clients through a multitude of means including debt and capital markets. In the last 12 months, he has successfully raised multi-billion Dirham financing across various industries and debt forms. Jawad s experience has been accumulated both in an advisory capacity with PwC and executory capacity (where he headed up the Finance Function of a large Middle Eastern corporate). Fintan Somers ex-cfo, Commercial Bank of Qatar Fintan specializes in businesses that require CFO leadership to deliver challenging business change and performance improvement programs. He has led a variety of projects including Strategy Development, Business Repositioning, Debt and Equity Financing, Acquisition, Disposal and Finance Function Transformation. He has over 20 years' International CFO and Change Leadership experience having served as CFO of a range of international businesses with Standard Chartered Bank, Lloyds Banking Group and, most recently, Commercial Bank of Qatar. Christian Lindholm Vice President, EPM & Financial Solutions, SAP Christian currently heads up the SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and the SAP ERP Financials in SAP EMEA. Christian has over 10 years of experience in delivering finance transformation to customers in various roles at SAP, Oracle & SAS Institute. He consults with senior leaders on the business impact of technology innovations in Analytics, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), ERP Financials and Business Intelligence. Experience includes financial software solutions, business partnering, operational excellence, financial planning & analysis, financial close, financial and management accounting, profitability and cost management and strategy management. Colin Abercrombie Motivational Speaker Colin is a very experienced, passionate and entertaining facilitator based in Dubai. He is a certified Master Practitioner of NLP, Hypnosis and Time line Therapy. Colin has a proven track record of success and has helped many organizations achieve their business objectives through the strategic development of their people. Colin became a management consultant in 1995 when he joined Mercuri International where he rapidly became their Senior Consultant in the Middle East. He has advised multinational, regional and local family businesses on a wide range of issues including compliance and regulatory matters, as well as conducting numerous valuation exercises, due diligence reports and feasibility studies. Expertly acquainted and versed with efficient procedures and legalities of setting up businesses. Currently she works as CFO for Nokia Al Saudia, a telecommunication service provider in Riyadh a JV between Nokia and a Saudi Shareholder. She is responsible for Finance, Business HR and IT. Christiane has previously worked in Corporate Finance, Structured Finance, Controlling and Financial Turnaround and frequently mentors and coaches startup companies.
