Singapore: The Straits Times Run 2015 Rajah & Tann Singapore participated in The Straits Times Run on 27 September A total of 13 lawyers & staff participated in various race categories (5km, 10km & 18.45km), which ended inside the National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub. Thailand: Macaroons at Bangkok In-House Congress The Bangkok office sponsored the Bangkok In-House Congress event on 23 June 2015, with Supawat and Saroj speaking on employment law, and Sui Lin participating in the panel discussion. Thailand: Afternoon Tea Farewell for Interns On 29 July 2015, the Bangkok office organised an afternoon tea farewell for its summer interns, who spent two months working with us during their university break from law studies. Thailand: Footsal Law Firm Tournament The Bangkok office participated in the Footsal Law Firm Tournament on 28 March - 30 May 2015 as one of 8 teams in the tournament, and came 5 th overall. 3 Cambodia: The Inter-Chamber Networking: Business & Education On 17 June 2015, R&T Sok & Heng Law Office attended "the Inter-Chamber Networking: Business & Education" held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Attendees included AmCham Cambodia, Australian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, Malaysian Business Council of Cambodia, Netherlands Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, CCI France Cambodge and International Business Chamber of Cambodia. The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron was the guest-speaker. The event was attended by Partners Mr. Tiv Sophonnora and Ms. Hout Sotheary, and Associates Ms. Theng Tith Maria and Ms. Ly Sopoirvichny. China: Yu Zheng Appointed Visiting Research Fellow at Dalian Maritime University International Counsel Yu Zheng from the Shanghai Representative Office of Rajah & Tann Singapore was appointed Visiting Research Fellow of Institute of Marine Insurance Law of Dalian Maritime University from 14 November

4 Indonesia: Muslimin Damanhuri Appointed Partner Muslimin Damanhuri has been appointed Partner of Assegaf Hamzah & Partners ( AHP ) with effect from 1 June Muslimin has extensive experience in Indonesia tax advisory, compliance and dispute resolution across a wide variety of industries. In particular, he possesses in-depth expertise in tax planning and modeling, conducting tax reviews and due diligence exercises, and handling tax refunds and audits. Prior to joining AHP, he was financial controller for seven years at another leading Jakarta law firm. Before that, he served as manager of tax and legal services with one of the big four accounting firms for ten years. Indonesia: AHP Partner Nominated for Social Entrepreneur Award AHP Competition Partner, Mr. HMBC Rikrik Rizkiyana, SH, has been selected as one of the two finalists for the prestigious Ernst & Young ( EY ) Social Entrepreneur of the Year award in recognition of his work with the Cugenang Gifted School, which he co-founded. The Cugenang Gifted School, located in Cianjur, West Java, was established in 2008 by Rikrik and Vovo Iswanto, SH. First of its kind in Indonesia, it provides free education to gifted children from needy families at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. The EY award recognizes an outstanding individual who has created and leads an organization, whether for-profit or not, that is aimed at catalyzing large scale and systemic social change through the introduction of new ideas, methodologies and changes in attitude. 4

5 Malaysia: Christopher & Lee Ong Firm Trip Phuket 2015 In early October 2015, the CLO team headed to the Land of Smiles, Phuket, for a short getaway. The partners, associates and staff were divided into 6 different superhero teams consisting of Wonderwoman, Hulk, Catwoman, Captain America, Superman and Ironman. Each team played various games and even performed dance routines during the team building session. As is customary for any other CLO firm trips, an annual dinner was held. The renowed Baan Rim Pa restaurant overlooking Patong Beach was the venue. The theme of the dinner was 1950s, Rock & Roll. The team was also brought around Phuket for a sightseeing tour to allow them to explore the magnificent Thai culture and the beautiful beaches of the island. 5

6 Singapore: The Straits Times Run 2015 Rajah & Tann Singapore participated in The Straits Times Run on 27 September A total of 13 lawyers & staff participated in various race categories (5km, 10km & 18.45km), which ended inside the National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub. They also participated in a host of entertainment activities at the post-race carnival. Thailand: Macaroons at Bangkok In-House Congress The Bangkok office sponsored the Bangkok In-House Congress event on 23 June 2015, with Supawat and Saroj speaking on employment law, and Sui Lin participating in the panel discussion. The event also presented an opportunity to distribute Rajah & Tann branded macaroons. The macaroons were both delicious and eye-catching, making quite an impression on attendees and social media. 6

7 Thailand: Afternoon Tea Farewell for Interns On 29 July 2015, the Bangkok office organised an afternoon tea farewell for its summer interns, who spent two months working with us during their university break from law studies. The 10 interns livened up the office considerably, bringing their enthusiasm and good humour to every task they undertook. Thailand: Footsal Law Firm Tournament The Bangkok office participated in the Footsal Law Firm Tournament on 28 March - 30 May 2015 as one of 8 teams in the tournament, and came 5 th overall. There was great team spirit throughout, with representation from every group in the firm, and with a partner sacrificing his wrist in the pursuit of glory! 7
