Bailey is graduated Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University. Richard H. Bailey is Chairman and CEO of Pacific Beachcomber and serves as President of Paul Gauguin Cruises, Inc. He is a pioneer in environmental protection and sustainability, creating the only resort in the world featuring an innovative, and ecofriendly air-conditioning system. Bailey is pretty soon opening of a new luxury eco-hotel, The Brando, on Marlon Brando s private island, Tetiaroa. Goal is to make The Brando a prototype for sustainable development in the hospitality industry and is striving to achieve Platinum LEED certification and carbon neutrality with the new resort, including solar panels and bio-fuel generators. Additionally, for reaching energy autonomously is the installation of the seawater air conditioning (SWAC) system. He is also a founding member of the nonprofit Conservation Tetiaroa, related to the ecology of Tetiaroa. Richard H Bailey is co-founder member and secretary of the association Te mana o te moana since ERIC BERTHON Eric Berthon holds a History degree. After being a history professor, he became a student of the E.N.E and an administrative court judge. He became in 2009, Deputy Secretary General of the High Commissioner in French Polynesia and chief of administrative subdivision of the Austral Islands. He is currently Assistant Secretary General for Regional Affairs of the Midi-Pyrenees region.
2 SYLVIE BRASSEUR TOLIFUU Sylvie Brasseur Tolifuu is graduated in accounting. She has a master in tourism management and is university certificates in labor law and tourism law. Installed in Polynesia since more than 30 years, she has participated in numerous working groups when she was Secretary General of the GHS (Union of huge hotels), and has served on several committees and board members (hotel, SPC, the Labour Code Service Economic Affairs She is since 2005 director of the Moorea Dolphin Center. JEAN FRANCOIS CLERVOY Jean Francois Clervoy is graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'aéronautique et de l'espace, and as Flight Test Engineer from Ecole du Personnel Navigant d' Essais et de Réception. Clervoy is Ingénieur Général de l Armement (in the French defense procurement agency DGA), member of the Association of Space Explorers (ASE). Distinguished member of the French Aeronautics and Astronautics Association (3AF), he s also permanent member of the Air and Space Academy (ANAE). He has got three NASA Space Flight Medals, two NASA Exceptional Service Medals. Clervoy is a member of ESA s European Astronaut Corps; hen is also assigned as Chairman CEO of Novespace, subsidiary of CNES ( French space agency). He is since 2009 the "godfather" of the association Te mana o te moana. ERIC DEAT Eric DEAT is graduated in economics, business management and planning, local development economics with a specialization in Economics of Tourism and Recreation. Administrative Officer of French Polynesia since 2000, he is currently head of the development office of the district of the Tuamotu and Gambier Islands. Eric Deat has supported for many years a strong coastal protection, and is passionate about sustainable development and the protection of ecosystems.
3 CECILE GASPAR Native from France, Cécile Gaspar is living in French Polynesia since She holds a triple degree in business (MBA), veterinary medicine (veterinary surgeon) and marine ecology (PhD). She led as general manager the Dolphin Quest center for 10 years. Since 2005, she is co-owner and the veterinarian of the center recalled Moorea Dolphin Center. She s a member of the species committee of the IUCN (International for Conservation of the Nature) and of the marine turtles committee ones. In 2004, she created the non-profit foundation Te mana o te moana of which she s still the active President. She is also a founding member of the World Ocean Network, and responsible for conferences with EPHE. She regularly contributes to many reports on the Polynesian marine environment. In 2011, she received the National distinction of Chevalier de l Ordre du Mérite. She received this honorific distinction for her commitment to the preservation of marine fauna and flora in French Polynesia. RENE GALZIN René GALZIN has got a doctorate from the University of Montpellier in Sciences. He is Director of Studies at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE) School, a member of the Laboratory CNRS- EPHE and Chairman of the Scientific Council of Fakarava Biosphere Reserve. Author of more than 250 scientific publications, he is Director of Doctorates, EPHE Diplomas and Masters students. René Galzin is also a former Director of CRIOBE and CNRS-EPHE Coral Reefs, former President of the French Society of Ichthyology and former Vice President of the International Society for ReefStudies. He was director of the CRIOBE EPHE for several years.
4 RODOPHE HOLLER Rodolphe Holler has been living in French Polynesia since He is the owner and Managing Director of Tahiti Private Expeditions. His wide experience as a diving instructor and marine biology make him the guide specialist and advisor for superyachts. After having set up and run the first VIP eco tour of Bora Bora, oriented towards marine conservation, he worked as a dolphin trainer at the Moorea Dolphin Center. As an underwater professional photographer and film maker, he is involved in the shooting of TV documentaries. ELENA PERRY Elena Perry is an Environmental Engineer. After working in famous associations such as WWF Foundation, in France and Russia, she discovered Polynesia in 2007 and was in charge of the environmental projects projects realized by Te mana o te moana, up to She has since become Program Manager of Noah Conservation organization where she is in charge of monitoring and developing programs for the conservation of biodiversity. She is a benefactor of the association since PHILIPPE VALLETTE Philippe Vallette is an oceanographer, Director of Nausicaa that is the National Sea Centre (Boulogne-sur-Mer) and also President of the World Festival of Underwater Pictures of Marseille. His way of mind is to know and love the sea to inspire new behaviors. In 2002, he was at the initiative of Nausicaa, convinced of the need to inform and educate the public, and also created the World Ocean Network. Philippe Vallette also served on the Steering Committee of the Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts and Islands (instance following the decisions in favor of the global oceans Sustainable Development in Johannesburg).
5 MONIQUE VAREILLE Monique Vareille is graduated in the International Certificate of Human Ecology (CIE) from the University of Bordeaux. As teacher, she has devoted years to the Environmental Education of our younger generations. Since her departure of the Education, she is an advisor in training and a member of several associations of environmental protection, including Planet'ERE Unesco for over 10 years. She is a member of the Association Te mana o te moana since 2004 and volunteers at events organized in France by the association. MARIE WIDCOQ Marie Widcoq is Head of Human Resources and training for the Environment. After studying general administration, she worked as an accountant and secretary for a mayor before arriving in Polynesia in She joined the InterContinental Resort & Spa Moorea in 2005 as executive Secretary and Head of Corporate Human Resources and Training. She has worked closely with Te mana o te moana since the eco label "Earth Check certification of the hotel chain. CHRISTIAN BUCHET Christian Buchet, graduated from the Institut d'etudes Politiques in Paris, has a PhD in History from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and ability to lead research. He is Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Catholic Institute of Paris, member of the Laboratory of maritime history (CNRS / University of Paris-Sorbonne/Musée Navy) and director of the Franco-Ibero-American Center of Maritime History of the Catholic Institute of Paris, and member of the ecological monitoring committee of the Nicolas Hulot Foundation. Professor at the Faculty of Arts, he is an associate member of the Institute of Research on the modern Western Civilization from the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne, member of the Supreme Council of the Merchant Navy, the Board of Directors French Institute of the Sea, a member of the Naval Academy, General Secretary of the National Council of the Archipelago France. He is author of numerous scientific contributions and conference proceedings.
