1 Report on 10 th CPABI ICAI Corporate Forum held at Chennai on 19 th & 20 th January, 2017 Corporate Conclave-A two day National Convention with theme Provenance to Professional transformation and session planning of corporate conclave attracted the attention and ample appreciation of the Chief Guest, Thiru K. Pandiarajan, Hon ble Minister of School Education, Archaeology, Youth Welfare, Sports Development Department and he recognized the contribution of the preparer(s) as internationally comparable, at the Award ceremony, for which ICAI got huge mileage. The Award ceremony followed a two day ICAI Corporate Conclave, where twelve technical sessions on topics of contemporary relevance on the above theme were deliberated upon and the Tamil Nadu Principal Secretary (Special Initiative) and CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail ) Thiru K. Rajaraman, IAS, inaugurated that event on 19th January, 2017 at Hyatt Regency, Chennai. Around 200 participants, mostly Chartered Accountants, have attended that Corporate Conclave. Thiru K. To see the recorded version of webcast of 20 th January, 2017 programme including award ceremony, please visit The award ceremony took place in grandeur style at Kamarajar Arangam, Chennai on Friday, 20 th January, The ICAI Awards were given in the below mentioned three Broad Categories: a) CA Business Leader b) CA CFO c) CA Professional Achiever These Broad categories were further divided in a total of 63 sub categories. The nominations were invited from the members working in industry having a minimum 3 years of experience. The Committee had received 293 nominations under 57 categories. First time in the last 10 years, the Jury, for selection of ICAI Awards finalist, was chaired by a Regulatory Head (CVC), in place of renowned Industrialists, in the past. Group formation of Jury Members and allotment of category-wise nomination sheets given to them, were done on the basis of a draw. 3
