It is this Alumni community that exemplifies our vision to be the leading business school in Asia, globally recognised for excellence in education and research. We have built this community through our mission to advance knowledge and develop leaders who will serve society and business. The outcome is a strong Alumni body who have taken on leadership positions around the world. Our graduates are excelling in a wide array of industries that have contributed to Asia s growth and development. These are the role models, mentors and doyens who are leading from Asia and trailblazing a path for NUS Business School. They are the exemplars to our students, faculty and staff through their contributions to industry and society. Tonight, we are proud to celebrate and honour our alumni. 4 NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE BUSINESS SCHOOL EMINENT BUSINESS ALUMNI AWARDS CHAIRMAN S MESSAGE AWARDS COMMITTEE We have been honouring eminent alumni who have made a difference in industry and society since Their achievements are a reflection of both their accomplishments in local business and that of NUS Business School s vision of excellence. This prestigious group of people is the reason why we come together to award the NUS Business School Eminent Business Alumni Awards. The NUS Business School Eminent Business Alumni Awards recognise the achievements of the School s graduates who have attained a high level of achievement in their field of business and management competencies in the public or private sectors. This highly prestigious award raises awareness of these outstanding alumni and honours their noteworthy achievements and contributions to the society. Every two years, the selection committee goes through a rigorous process to select the recipients. This year, we had to narrow down 23 nominations to identify the final 10 over much debate; a testament to the quality of the nominees. This year, we have the opportunity to recognise alumni in three categories Senior Alumni Awards, Young Alumni Awards and Alumni Service Awards. These are either definitive trailblazers in their respective fields, or Alumni who have shown exceptional dedication in serving the School or the NUS community. One thing they all have in common is that they all lead by example, making a positive impact in all they do. Mr Peter Seah, BBA Hons 1968 Chairman, Awards Committee 04 05
