The breakfast will be held in Washington, DC. On January 18, the U.S. Chamber s BCLC will hold a Business and Society Forum: How to Build Trust in Washington, DC. February 6-8, the U.S. Chamber s TradeRoots team will hold their 2007 Best Practices Summit in Coral Gables, Florida. The interactive sessions will focus on sharing best practices that help Chambers, World Trade Centers, and AmChams engage in successful international trade programs and economic development. On February 13, the U.S. Chamber will hold a ½ day conference on Moving Enterprise: Transportation and the Global Economy in Washington, DC. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters will deliver her 1 st major address to the business community. February 20-22, the EastWest Institute will hold its 4th Worldwide Security Conference: Protecting People, Economies and Infrastructure Against Terrorism & Organized Crime. The event will be held at the World Customs Organization Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. For more information registration, please visit Looking ahead On March 14, the U.S. Chamber will hold its first annual Capital Markets Summit: Securing America s Competitiveness. The Chamber s Commission on the Regulation of U.S. Capital Markets in the 21st Century will release its report and recommendations. Austria On January 25, the American Chamber of Commerce in Austria (AmCham Austria) will hold an American Business Cocktail. Welcoming remarks will be made by Helmut F. Meier, President of AmCham Austria, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Booz Allen Hamilton. On January 31, AmCham Austria will hold a Chamber Luncheon featuring H.E. Ambassador Julie Finley, United States Mission to the OSCE, will speak on the subject: "We are all in this together" - The Indivisibility of True Security in Europe. AmCham Austria has released its new membership directory, "Yearbook 2007". For more information on AmCham Austria, or to order a directory visit Belgium On January 17, the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium (AmCham Belgium) in association with ExxonMobil Benelux is organizing the third in their Driven by Innovation CEO Luncheon Series with Joost Van Roost, President of ExxonMobil Benelux. Mr. Van Roost will be discussing one of the most talked about issues in the energy sector: Innovation in Energy Sources to Meet Future Needs. On January 18, AmCham Belgium, in association with KBC, is hosting a New Year Reception with Belgian Officials. The keynote speaker will be Mr. Bruno Colmant, the newly appointed Chief of Minister Reynder cabinet and previously Managing Director of ING Belgium. Mr. Colmant will share his views on the new measures Belgium is taking to increase its attractiveness for investment, among which the new tax treaty with the United States. On February 7, AmCham Belgium in association with Lawfort, Hewlett Packard and Adobe Systems will host the conference Electronic Data Discovery: Storm From across the Atlantic. A panel of experts will discuss the complex issue of data management and offer some practical solutions. On February 13, AmCham Belgium is hosting their fourth luncheon in the "Driven by Innovation" Series. Jonathan Murray, the Worldwide Technology Officer of Microsoft, will speak on "Technology, People and Economic Transformation". Director- Mr. Wahyd Vannoni. On February 7, AmCham Croatia will hold a luncheon on the topic HITROREZ- the regulatory Guillotine with Vedran Antoljak (Country Program Coordinator). HITROREZ is an orderly, 2

On February 4, AmCham Denmark and the Danish American Football Federation (DAFF) welcome football enthusiasts to a Super Bowl XLI party. The evening's program includes a pre-game warm up show and the annual inductions into the DAFF Hall of Fame.
