Zeynep joined AmCham Turkey in September Previously she worked as a junior business adviser for the British Chamber of Commerce in Turkey (BCCT) for 2 years and took part in several delegations and projects within the association. Zeynep worked in the communication, project management, event management, operations and member relations areas. After studying a semester in Germany during 2017, Zeynep graduated from Beykent University International Trade Department.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President, Republic of Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received representatives of the U.S. companies in Turkey at the Presidential Complex. Bilateral trade and economic relations were discussed at the meeting attended by the Board Members of AmCham Turkey/ABFT and YASED (International Investors Association), as well as representatives from TAİK (Turkey US Business Council). Ruhsar Pekcan, Minister of Trade, Republic of Turkey AmCham Turkey/ABFT Board Members attended to a meeting with H.E. Ruhsar Pekcan, Minister of Trade, Republic of Turkey. The Reception featured welcoming remarks from Jennifer L. Davis, U.S. Consul General and Serra Akçaoğlu, AmCham Turkey/ABFT Chairwoman & Citibank Turkey CEO and Board Member, covering AmCham s achievements and plans. September 25 I Chamber Corner Event AmCham Turkey/ABFT attended to the Chamber Corner event, a joint networking event of the leading bilateral Chambers of Commerce in Istanbul. International Chambers of 13 countries gathered at the traditional event with member companies.

The seminar featured presentations on social enterprise start-ups, food entrepreneurship in Turkey and MENA, as well as Life Project, an alternative approach in humanitarian response. The platform is coordinated by Istanbul Development Agency in partnership with the Governorship of Istanbul, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Chamber of Industry, aiming to promote Istanbul s investment opportunities and assist international investors throughout all bureaucratic steps necessary for starting up their businesses in Istanbul. July 19 I Attendance to IKV s Briefing Seminar on US s Global Role AmCham Turkey/ABFT team members attended to a briefing seminar on Global Role of US and EU relations organized by IKV (Economic Development Foundation), which focused on both the economic and political factors affecting the global business environment. July 20 I Meeting with CIPE Project Director AmCham Turkey/ABFT team organized a meeting with Osman Çakıroğlu, the Project Director of CIPE (Center for International Private Enterprise) with a focus to organize a joint briefing seminar on food entrepreneurship.
